  1. Contacts - Drag and Drop Sort Order

    Update the Contacts table so we can use drag and drop to change the contact sort order. Many of our students have their parents listed as contact #7 or #8 and we'd like to be able to drag them to the top of the list rather than having to manually update the sort order for each record.

    Contacts – The contacts page has been enhanced to use drag and drop sorting for changing Contact Order.

  2. Online Enrollment - Allow the use of dates instead of ages to determine if student is able to enroll.

    Online Enrollment. Request to have the Enrollment Age Limits changed from age to birthdates. Even the option to use age and/or birthdate. A birthdate would assist in input errors or allowing parents to continue the process for students who are too young.

    Hello, the idea (or bug) has been completed in the 12/1/2022 update.  Here are the Revision Notes:


    Online Enrollment - Student age was calculated relative to the current date instead of the first day of the registration year, fixed. See Aeries Online Enrollment Parent Process


    Online Enrollment for CA

    • The Enforce TK Birth Dates option was added allowing admin users to prevent a student from being enrolled in Transitional Kindergarten if their birth date does not fall within CDE eligibility guidelines. See Aeries Online Enrollment Admin Settings
    • The grade level estimation for Transitional Kindergarten now reflects the latest CDE guidelines.

  3. CALPADS-N470-NoShow records should populate day before enrollment date, NOT day before school starts

    When I extract an SENR file - Extract all data this Year, students who have an SSID number AND are N470 extract in the file. When they are extracted Aeries changes their SWR/Leave date to one day prior to the first day of school according to the school calendar. However, when Aeries changes the enrollment date the SPED record no longer aligns with the enrollment date and it causes a problem every time.

    I will resolve this on my end by removing the SSID number for the student. This will prevent the record from being extracted.

    Hello, the idea (or bug) has been completed in the 9/28/2023 update.  Here are the Revision Notes:


    CALPADS Extracts (SENR) - For California users, for No Show students, the Enrollment Update now extracts the date one day prior to the summer withdrawal date (STU.SWD) if that date is after the first day of school.

  4. Demographics - Online Enrollment Import - Sort by Enroll Date

    Set the Student Import Screen to sort by "Enroll Date" not "Enroll ID". It's difficult to find the most recently enrolled student when you have a huge list of enrollees sitting in the import screen.

    If that is not doable then give the option of sorting by "Enroll Date".

  7. Revision Notes Review

    It would be nice if there was a weekly meeting to demonstrate revision notes or explain functionality changes (by region). This way all users have an opportunity to see how new features work or hear the benefits at the same time. Customers would benefit from a regularly scheduled Revision Notes meeting. Otherwise, Aeries team has to field individual tickets from individual customers (maybe more at one site) to explain individual features when they don't understand or when the knowledgebase has not been updated.

  8. Weekly Engagement Report error for Elem w/MST Daily ATT

    For Elem w/MST using Daily Attendance, on the Instructional Minutes Certification page, all the departmentalized sections appear for the teacher to certify. However on the Weekly Engagement Report, only the section taking Daily Attendance is visible. All the sections need to appear on the report.

  9. Ability to have both Standards Based Grading and Regular Grading in a K-8 School with period attendance.

    We have a K-8 School that uses period attendance. The k-3 students only have 1 teacher for period 0. They would need to enter grades using Standards based Grading. However the remainder of the school grades 4-8 use regular grading. We would like the ability to offer both in one school based on grade level. The only alternative right now would be splitting the school up into 2 different school sites, which is a logistical nightmare for both reports, integrations, etc.

    Hello! This feature has been added as of the 6/17/2021 Aeries version! Here is the revision note:
    School Options
    Options were added to allow doing both Elementary Standards Based Grading (SBG) and Secondary Grade Reporting (GRD) in the same school and to define the grades that each apply to. These options are for future use in Aeries.

  10. District Assets-Add option to "filter" for items in the District Asset Detail Items tab.

    From the District Assets "Resources/Assets", we'd like the ability to filter the "list" of Items the Asset has, by a search option by either item or bar code.
    Or
    provide a "quick link" to the item details from the 'quick asset look up' page, by selecting the "item" number? It could link into asset detail "items" page? sometimes we just need a serial number or a mac address.

  11. 504 Plan should have option to not auto close and keep it open.

    Currently, Aeries will generate end date of 504 plan every year and generate a new open date at the beginning of the year. I would like to have the option to not close automatically and keep the plan open.
    The most recent CALPADS dataguide says that 504 plan doesn't have to close every year.

    Hello, this issue has been resolved in the 03/18/22 update.  Here are the Revision Notes:

    CALPADS Extracts
    An option was added under Other Options to allow closing (default) or leaving open the 504 program records. Previously the program was closed thirty days prior to the end of the school year. See CALPADS Extracts - Other Options Tab
    The SPRG ODS process was updated to handle the reconciliation of 504 programs (program code 101) as an eligibility program. See CALPADS Extracts - SPRG ODS Reconciliation

  12. Weekly Instructional Minutes - Allow Long-Term Subs to certify

    Long-Term subs need the ability to certify the Weekly Instructional Minutes page since they are the ones instructing students at this time and tracking the participation in Attendance.

    Hello, this item has been completed in the 2/19/21 Out-Of-Band Update. Here are the Revision Notes:
    CALPADS Extracts

    1) A new setting was added under Other Options to force Parent/Guardian information (SINF/SIAD) to be extracted exclusively from STU.PG and STU.PED. The option is deselected by default. See CALPADS Extracts – Other Options Tab

    2) The Parent/Guardian Highest Education Level will always be pulled from STU.PED, even when processing Guardian information from the CON table. This will remain in place until CALPADS changes the SINF file layout in preparation for 22-23.

  14. Add Green State Reporting Highlight to Adult Previous Indicator Field

    When a school has the Dropout Recovery Campus Option (OPT.NM) selected on the School Options Page the Adult Previous Indicator (SSD.APA) becomes visible on the Secondary Student Data Page and should be highlighted in green to indicate this is a State Reportable Field.

    Hello, I wanted to let you know that this item has been completed and released in the update 3/11/2025. Here are the relevant Release Notes:


    Student Data > Other > Secondary Stu Data: For schools designated as Dropout Recovery Schools, the Adult Prev Att field was not displaying properly. Now, when the user option to Highlight State Reporting fields is activated, this field will display highlighted in green.

    Please add CA State Code Highlighting to the Internships page, based on the Work-Based Learning Type selected so customers can see what fields are required when doing data entry.

    Hello, the idea (or bug) has been completed in the 3/19/21 update. Here are the Revision Notes:
    The Period View option was added to allow toggling from a Timeline View to a Period View, and vice versa. While in Period View, the new Period Filter allows filtering out the desired periods to display on the board. All functionality is similar to the SMS Board, including button click and drag-and-drop.

  17. CRDC - Include Pre-School Student Counts

    Please include the Preschool Module PreSchool Enrollment (PSCH-1) data in the Civil Rights Data Collection extract in Aeries.

  18. Student Programs Report needs an option for "Active Programs Only"

    The Student Program Report is printing information for programs that have an end date. When the report is run for the Transitional Kindergarten program, it shows results for students who were in the program the previous school year and have since had an end date added. An option needs to be added to only display Active/Current program information.

    Hello, I wanted to let you know that work on this item was completed and it was released to customers on 01/14/2025. Here are the relevant revision notes:


    Reports > Student Programs - The following report options were added allowing users to limit data to active programs:

    • Active Programs Only - Include only programs with a blank or future end date.
    • Current Academic Year Programs Only - Include all active programs and any closed programs with an end date within the current school year.
    • All Programs - Include all programs for the student for all dates, whether active or closed.

  19. Standards Based Grades - Increase Grading Periods for Progress Reports

    Currently SBG only allows for 4 grading windows - increase this up to 6 or more to allow the use of progress reports.

  20. Email Signature option for Send Emails

    Allow for an email signature to be applied when using the Send Emails page. This would allow a teacher to easily identify themselves in the email, could provide office hours, and contact information.
