Hello, we wanted to let you know that we are evaluating whether an API is needed for the CCGI extracts. Automated scheduling and SFTP delivery of extract files to CCGI is planned for the 3/31 release, meeting CCGI’s requirement for an automated file transfer process.
CCGI has also confirmed that an API will not address real‑time data needs, since the data would still be extracted to flat files and processed the same way by CCGI. The API was considered primarily to make it easier for districts to submit data, not for real‑time ingestion.
Instead, we will first focus on supporting term mapping by school and school year, along with adding optional fields to the extract.

4/2/26 - Recent updates to Attendance Recovery
Yesterday’s release contained quite a few items related to Attendance Recovery that we wanted to bring to your attention:
- We’ve updated our Workflow AR document to make it clear about new set-up tasks that must be completed in order for the process to function properly.
- A new District Setting for ADA Make-Up has been added and must be defined in order to enable this new functionality.
- A new field (ATT.AMU) has been added to store Attendance Minutes Utilized when ADA Make-Up is applied for Attendance Recovery.
- Minutes will be auto-calculated based on the student's Special Ed Alternate Minimum Day, school type, or grade level, depending on which applies.
- We will be adding a process soon to automatically update the ATT.AMU field for any existing absences previously recovered via AR.
- We’ve added the Attendance Recovery Bank page that provides a read-only view of each…

We've just shipped the final set-up piece to allow the creation of the SUN Bucks Supplemental Submisison extract. The final piece, the EDCS extract itself, is in development, and will be released as soon it passes final testing..
- Code Translations: Added support for NSLP Source Code (FRE.SRC) mappings in CALPADS Code Translations. Districts can now map local NSLP source codes to EDCS fixed codes. This new mapping will be used for supporting Sunbucks. See Prepping for Supplemental SUN Bucks Collection (SSBC) via EDCS.

In order to assist schools in properly assigning teachers to courses and section in a way that is compatible with state credentialing requirements, a new report in Aeries must be created to display Course (and maybe Section) information alongside staff information (including SEID). This report would mimic the CALPADS Fall 2 4.3 so that LEAs can get a jump on assignment monitoring

Characters over letters are not recognized in Aeries when searching (even in fuzzy search), they are actually seen as blanks. Therefore, when searching a name ie; Sanchez, the name with the character (Sànchez) Will not appear in the search results. Same thing happens when searching for prior enrollments for returning students. It can be managed during the enrollment process by removing them, but parents do like the diacritics if they are using them. I am suggesting Aeries consider including them, or ignore them but the letter remains.
