Teacher Attendance - Allow Updating of Certain Codes
The Aeries Teacher Portal currently allows teachers to override any verified absence code, or override only unverified absence codes, and there isn't an option to allow teachers to override only certain verified absence codes.
In Aeries, a Tardy Truant is treated as a Verified Tardy, which makes sense. However, if a teacher accidentally selects Tardy Truant, since it's considered "verified", they can't un-select it.
It would be great if we could provide a comma-separated list of verified absence codes that teachers could override on the Portal Options screen. We wouldn't want to allow teachers to override all absence codes, like…

Teacher Attendance and Portal Options: A new portal option has been added to “Only Allow Teachers to Override Attendance Codes listed”. With this option, teachers will not be able to override a Verified Absence Code except when that Attendance Code is available to be used by a teacher. Due to recent changes for Distance Learning attendance accounting, teachers have been given access to use some Verified Attendance Codes but this presented problems because teachers had to either be allowed to override ANY Verified Absence Code or get stuck with that code after having used it. This new option fixes that. This option is mutually exclusive to the option to “Allow teachers to override verified absences”.

Show Attendance Code Descriptions in Teacher Portal
With the new DL attendance codes teachers would like to easily determine the attendance code definition by being able to hover over the code value for the description to show.

Student Attendance Detail add student's CTE Code V1 - V6 status by date
On the Student Attendance Detail, the CTE code V1 - V6 displayed for each student in the Programs area does not reflect a code change during overlapping CAR dates (when the student was enrolled in more than one CTE section, and when the CAR dates for the 1+ sections are not the same). If a student is in CTE, their student page should reflect the student's status of V1 - V6 by date so that the customer can tell how many days the student was V1 vs. V2, etc., during the reporting period.

Language Assessment
- The Source field was added to the Home Language Survey section allowing the user to specify the survey completion method.
- A digital signature was added to the Home Language Survey section that is displayed when the record is imported from the Online Enrollment. Any changes to the data will invalidate the parent's digital signature and the digital signature will no longer display. Add Crs Filter to Scheduling Reverse Verification Listing Report
On Print Scheduling Reverse Verification Listing Report add a filter right underneath Select Courses to be used if not all. Since Courses are Districtwide most Districts have hundreds of courses.

CALPADS SDEM - Staff extract was extracting staff with Hire dates up to October 31.
CALPADS SDEM Extract: Adjust the query that selects staff to use the Census Date rather than October 31 when evaluating the hire date and the Job Assignment Start Date (STJ). Only extract Staff as of Information Day.

The Staff Demographics (SDEM) extract was adjusted to evaluate the staff hire date against the Census Date, instead of October 31st as it was required before. -
Weekly Instructional Minutes-Need to modify when sections are visible
Several issues with the display of sections for Weekly Instructional Minutes. It may be analyzing CAR to see if there are students in the class, but not analyzing the dates to see if they fall within that specific week.
1) Sections appearing for teacher before they actually begin (Spring sections showing in Fall)
2) Students starting midweek are not triggering the section to show.
3) Elementary without master schools also having issue with students not appearing in the prior weeks when they change teachers. Need to analyze dates in the ATT table for straight elementary schools.

Allow push and pull setup tables to more than just admins
I believe we should be able to delegate security to roles such as these. We should have to have to have our system administrator do these types of things. The system administrator controls security.

Mass Change Period Absences by List of Students
When using the Mass Change Period Absences by List of Students it would be so useful if there was an All Day box we could check that would enter the 2nd/3rd ADA period code into the All Day box automatically. Right now I use this page to enter all the period codes and a note but I then have to go back and individually enter the code into the All Day box because it doesn't upload automatically. This is the only page that allows us to see if a code is already entered for students so that we don't override…

Mass Change Period Absences – This page now supports Primary and Secondary ADA Times as defined on the School Options and Calendar pages. These times are available for schools utilizing Attendance Time for All Day Attendance Management on School Options. When attendance is taken for students in a period that meets during the Primary ADA time, the All-Day Code will be updated automatically. Also, when a Secondary ADA Time is defined, students who do not have a class during the Primary ADA Time on a day will have their All-Day Code updated when attendance is taken during their class that meets during the Secondary ADA Time. Using a tardy code in a period during the ADA Time will clear an All-Day absence. -
Immunization report to follow-up on exemptions
Immunization status report - need a new report or an enhancement to the current one. The nurses need a report that lists students that currently have exemptions or need follow-up and are coded as such. Requesting the report to include vaccine name with the exemption, the exemption code, date and comments.

I am marking this Idea complete as we have completed the following:
· The Immunization page now highlights in red if the Exemption Expiration Date is today or prior
· The Student Immunization Status report has an option to print for Students with Expired Exemptions.
This Report currently does not include the following but this are being considered in NexGen:
· the exemption code
· comments
· follow-up dates under Status of Requirements sections of the Immunization page.

Here are the Revision Notes:
Standards Based Grades > Functions > Update SBG Attendance Totals - When the process was run, SBG attendance records were incorrectly added for new students who were enrolled after the grading cycle was initialized, causing blank report cards to be printed for these students. Now SBG attendance records are only added for students who were enrolled when the grading cycle was initialized. This also resolves the issue of RCH records being incorrectly generated.

Acceptable file extensions for parent document uploads and student documents
For document uploads, we would like to limit the type of file to upload. Currently certain hard-coded file extensions are banned, but would easier to allow for a list of acceptable file types. This would allow blocking of zip files if the district does not want to allow them.

Update Code Table Show All Values and Descriptions
When staff go into the Update Code Table screen they only see what was added by the district and a list of the existing codes in use on the right column (without any descriptions).
It would be better to display all code values on the screen and those that are hard-coded have a lock icon, are dimmed, or something showing they cannot be edited.
If that is enabled, allow a filter to hide those hard coded codes as an option displaying only the district added codes.

- School Info > Configurations > Update Code table: Fixed codes were previously hidden in the system and not easily visible to the user. Now, the page has been updated to display fixed codes, if they exist, for the table and field selected. The codes show on the upper section and are read-only and scrollable, making it easier to identify when fixed codes exist.
