LTEL Import needs to be updated for the new file format
The full state Long-Term English Learner (LTEL) file from the California Department of Education has changed formats from the previous year. The file is unable to be processed in Aeries in the new format in the LTEL Import function.
Programming needs to adjust the LTEL Import process.

CALPADS Extracts – The LTEL Import has been updated to handle the new Long-Term English Learner file. The file is now a fixed-width file, instead of the tab-delimited from previous years, and has an additional column. The import will no longer support files from previous years.

Supplemental Attendance Report - Page Break by Student
Would like to print the Supplemental Attendance Report and have it page break by student. There is currently a page break for reason.

SELA Conflict Report-Add options for report
CALPADS - SELA Conflict report - Needs report options added:
1) Add option to skip Pre-school students (errors reported are invalid for PS)
2) Have report honor KEEP and SKIPS.

SELA Conflict Report – The report has been adjusted to handle Adult English Learner (ADEL) language fluency. Also, it now supports KEEP / SKIP, school selection (when logged at the district and not running the report from the CALPADS page), and the ability to skip Pre-School (PS) grade level. -
Show Attendance Code Descriptions in Teacher Portal
With the new DL attendance codes teachers would like to easily determine the attendance code definition by being able to hover over the code value for the description to show.

Allow teachers to mass add attendance codes in the Teacher Portal Attendance page
For the 2020-2021 school year, schools are adding 'Engagement" attendance codes for teachers to mark for every students. This is in accordance with the new SB-98 CA legislation.
This idea was provided during the LACOE Attendance Symposium on 8/13/20. Teachers would like the ability to select a particular engagement attendance code and mass add it to all students then if needed, deselect appropriate individual students when appropriate thus saving time selecting codes for each individual student.
Similar to how teachers mass add assignment results in the Aeries Gradebook.

Teacher App emulation for Administrators
Would like for Admin to emulate teacher accounts in the Aeries Teacher App similar to emulating parent and student accounts in the Aeries Mobile App.

Online Enrollment Import page Survey Completed Date
On the Online Enrollment Import page need to populate the Survey Completed Date field with date the parent completed it

Language Assessment
- The Source field was added to the Home Language Survey section allowing the user to specify the survey completion method.
- A digital signature was added to the Home Language Survey section that is displayed when the record is imported from the Online Enrollment. Any changes to the data will invalidate the parent's digital signature and the digital signature will no longer display. The SMS Board in a Flex scheduling school is not rendering on weaker machines.
The SMS Board fails to load (spinning wheel) and no error message displays in the Flex Scheduling school.

Online Enrollment - View Button for Partial Incomplete
There is a view button for completed imported enrollment information, but there isn't one for the partial, incompletes. This button would help us be able to tell parents what information is missing from their online enrollment forms.
78 votesHello, the idea (or bug) has been completed in the 8/27/24 update. Here are the Revision Notes:
Student Data > Demographics > Import
- The Set as Incomplete button was replaced with the Update Status button, providing more options for updating an enrollment status:
- A Pending Import record can be set to Partial (Incomplete) or Delete.
- A Partial (Incomplete) record can be set to Delete.
- A Deleted record can be set to Pending Import or Partial (Incomplete), allowing users to recover deleted records if needed.
- The ability to view the confirmation page for Deleted and Partial (Incomplete) enrollments is now supported. The View button is now available on the Aeries Student Import page. Selecting the View button opens the confirmation page to view student enrollment details from within Online Enrollment. See Aeries Online Enrollment Importing Students.

Support lookup by serial number for Assets pages
Barcode labels are being torn off of assets and we have to rely on the serial number to uniquely identify the unit. The trouble is, none of the Assets pages appear to support lookup by serial number.

Demographics - Online Enrollment Import - Sort by Enroll Date
Set the Student Import Screen to sort by "Enroll Date" not "Enroll ID". It's difficult to find the most recently enrolled student when you have a huge list of enrollees sitting in the import screen.
If that is not doable then give the option of sorting by "Enroll Date".

CALPADS-Allow SENR extracts before school starts
Districts have requested the ability to create SENR extracts in a new school year for all students, prior to the first day of school, without having to activate ATT. This would greatly facilitate Direct Certification and also summer IELPAC testing.
4 votesHello, this idea/bug has been completed in the 09/15/2020 update. Here are the Revision Notes:
The SENR extract has been updated according to the CALPADS CFS v12. The SENR indicators have been removed from the extract, and the new 1.34 column has been added. Also, an option has been added to extract the SENR file before school begins, as long as a calendar has been created. The enrollment date will be the first day of school. -
Google Integration Emails - Unwanted Emails
Disable the Google automated emails for every change in Student enrollment.

Push and Pull Setup Tables - Add BSD and BST tables to Push Pull ability
The Push and Pull Setup Tables process does not include copying the related BSD and BST tables to copy the entire BEL Schedule setup, including the schedule times and Days linked to the calendar.

CALPADS Work-Based Learning Extract (WBLR)
A new extract is being created to submit data related to student internships, student-led enterprises, and virtual/simulated work-based learning. This Work-Based Learning (WBLR) file will be submitted and certified as part of the CALPADS End-of-Year (EOY) 1 submission. Work-based learning provides additional opportunities for students to demonstrate their preparedness for college/career through the College/Career Indicator (CCI) on the California School Dashboard.

The new Work-Based Learning (WBLR) extract was added. The extract information is pulled from the recently updated Internships (ISP) table. The extract is located on the EOY tab. Teacher Attendance - Allow Quick Attendance Notes
To help with Hybrid instructions, Allow Quick Attendance Notes on the Teacher Attendance page.
For students engaged in distance learning on a particular day, a teacher must track the means by which the student engaged that day. Attendance Notes is a possible way to track this information instead of the Gradebook. But Attendance Notes are not easily added for large groups of students. This feature would make it a simple process of checking the correct box(es) for students on how they engaged that day.
