  7. Student Search Slow or Failing to Load in some circumstances.

    As of 7.16, there's an issue with the Student Search becoming unresponsive when searching by name or student number. This only happens when searching from the Attendance page and has a console error listed.

    Hello, the idea (or bug) has been completed in the 7/23/24 update. Here are the Revision Notes:

    • Student Data > Attendance - The Student Search feature became unresponsive when searching from this page. The Student Search feature now functions properly on the Attendance page.

    UPDATE: As of 2/11/2024 the CRDC Extract process has been updated to meet the requirements for the 2021-2022 CRDC Data Collection.  See the Revision notes dated 2/11/2024 for a more thorough explanation of all the changes. Please be sure you are updated to the latest version of Aeries to access these changes.

    NOTE: There are 2 sections where the data is not quite extracting properly, so we are suppressing this data from the extract at this time.

    DISC: Student Discipline (Corporal Punishment, Expulsion, Suspension)

    • DISC-27: School Days Missed Due to Out-of-School Suspension

    OFFN: Offenses

    • OFFN-1: Offenses – Number of Incidents

    We will immediately be adjusting the extract further to include these sections, and that work remains our highest priority. However we wanted our Customers to know about the work-around for these sections, if needed:

  11. CA Preschool Data Collection (CAPSDAC) - Extracts Needed

    The 801-A submission is transitioning into CAPSDAC (California Preschool Data Collection System), which is a data collection that merges together the CDD 801a and data submitted to PLIS (Preschool Language Information System) and new fields.

    For the time being, data will be concurrently submitted to the CDD-801A, PLIS and CAPSDAC. Eventually, the CDD-801a and PLIS will be phased out.

    Can the Aeries Early Child Development page be reconfigured to include the 3 extracts needed for the CAPSDAC: Classroom, Staff, and Child information fields?

    Hello, I wanted to let you know that work on this item was completed and it was released to customers on 8/27/2024. Here are the relevant revision notes:


    School Info > Imports and Exports > CALPADS Extracts - 

    • The Student Programs extract (SPRG) now includes students with secondary enrollments, in accordance with recent changes to CALPADS requirements. 
    • The Student Programs extract (SPRG) now excludes private schools (i.e., enrollment status = 50), per recent changes to CALPADS requirements.

  17. CALPADS SSID Import Issue as of 8/8/2023

    As of 8/8/2023, the CALPADS SSID Extract layout changed and they added a new data element.  This is causing the Aeries SSID Import to not import new SSIDs.
    The Aeries SSID Import process needs to be adjusted for the CALPADS SSID Extract layout change.

    Hello, this idea has been completed in the 4/18/2024 update. Here are the Revision Notes:


    Student Data > Other > Internships - The following changes were made according to recent updates to Work Based Learning requirements for the 2023-2024 CALPADS EOY submission:

    • In the Work-Based Learning Type field, the message "(NO LONGER IN USE BEGINNING 2024-25)" is now displayed for Code 30 because the code is being retired by CALPADS in 2024-2025.
    • The Employer Evaluation field now includes Code 5-Not Provided by Employer.

    School Info > Imports and Exports > CALPADS Extracts (EOY tab) - When creating the Work-Based Learning file, if student records exist with Work-Based Learning Type 10-Internships, the Course Code is now extracted in the WBLR file for field 21.12.   19. CALPADS SIRS - Extract Days for Disp codes 100 110 or 200 only

    In the CALPADS EOY SIRS extract, the Incident Result Durations Days should only be populated when the Incident Result Code is Suspension, In-School Suspension, or Expulsion (100, 110, or 200). Submitting days for codes other than 100, 110 or 200 will result in CALPADS Fatal error SIRS0509.

    Hello, this idea (or bug) has been completed in the 7/16/2024 update. Here are the Revision Notes:


    School Info > Imports and Exports > CALPADS Extracts 

    • The Student Incident Result extract (SIRS) now only extracts Incident Authority Code and Incident Duration Days when the Disposition Code is 100, 110, or 200. See EOY Discipline Files or CALPADS in Aeries Basics - Assertive Discipline.
    • For the CRSE and CRSC extracts, the State Course codes list was updated to include Cambridge World Languages which now support extracting the Course Content Area subcategory. 


  20. New UI: More explicit visualization when logged into a prior year database

    In the new UI, the only change when you change to a previous year is that the font is red. This has to be changed to something more profound so it is obvious when users are in a previous database as most colorblind users cannot see red.

    Hello, a fix for this issue was released on 08/06/2024. Here are the relevant revision notes:

    • Aeries Header - If a user was logged into a prior school year, the school year menu was not adequately differentiated from the current school year menu, increasing the possibility that a user might inadvertently update prior year data. The school year menu is now shaded red and a clock icon is present when a user is logged into a prior school year.
