CALPADS: Exclude Standards Grade Level Range for Specific State Course Codes and Instructional Levels 23 or 24
To prevent the CALPADS fatal error CRSC0636, enhance the CRSC extract file to not automatically insert a Standards Grade Level Range (CRS.SGR) for courses with the following State Course Codes (CRS.C3): 7000 - 8999, 9020, 9082, 9096, 9120, 9154, 9200, 9227, 9273, 9303, 9358, and Course Instructional Level Codes (CRS.CL): 23 (College Credit Only) or 24 (Dual Credit).

CALPADS Extracts - SENR Summer Grads
Enhance Aeries to extract 1 day SENR enrollment records for reporting summer grads to CALPADS.

CALPADS STAS - Do not extract for students in NPS or Private Schools
As of 9/2024, CALPADS no longer accepts STAS records for students in an NPS or Private Schools (School of Attendance = 0000001) or private school group (School of Attendance = 0000002). Adjust the logic in Aeries to no longer extract automatically for these schools. Currently, Aeries automatically populates an exemption indicator for all NPS students. Remove logic that inserts the Exemption indicator.
66 votesHello, I wanted to let you know that work on this item was completed and it was released to customers on 4/29/2025. Here are the relevant revision notes:
School Info > Imports and Exports > CALPADS Extracts: As of September 2024, CALPADS no longer accepts STAS records for students in NPS (School of Attendance = 0000001) or Private Schools (School of Attendance = 0000002). Previously, Aeries automatically populated an exemption indicator for all NPS students. The logic that inserted the Exemption indicator was removed. Now, the STAS extract process will exclude NPS or Private school students in the CALPADS EOY > STAS extract files automatically so schools no longer need to de-select these schools. See EOY CALPADS STAS or STAS Other Options.

Enhance the CALPADS SENR Extract to insert an exit reason code of E156 for returning students coded with a STU.GR/STU.NG that is translated to grade 12 in Code Translations (XRF).

- The process to Auto-close Enrollment (E-155 & E156) 14 Days Before the End of the School Year has been adjusted to extract E156 if the student's grade has a translated value equal to 12. Before students with grade levels greater than 12 were not properly exited with an E156 when they completed their senior year and were returning as a 5th year senior and the student's next grade = 12. Now, those students with a grade translated to grade 12 per CALPADS Code Translations (XRF table) will now extract with E156 when this option is selected and all criteria is met. Student Search Slow or Failing to Load in some circumstances.
As of 7.16, there's an issue with the Student Search becoming unresponsive when searching by name or student number. This only happens when searching from the Attendance page and has a console error listed.

TX Ed-Fi: Student Academic Record and Course Transcript Entity for Students in Grade Level Below 9 Completing High School Credit
All students completing high school credit courses must be reported with a Student Academic Record and a Course Transcript record, regardless of grade level. This data is not limited to students in grades 9 - 12.

- Texas Ed-Fi: The Course Transcript entity did not extract records for students below grade 9 and completing high school credit courses. The entity now extracts records for all students completing high school credit courses regardless of grade level.

CALPADS Fall 2 CRSE - Adjust logic for itinerant sections using section staff (SSE)
For schools where section staff members are used (SSE), the itinerant logic needs to be modified to ensure the Class ID field has the same value when the class has multiple teachers according to (MST.MTS). Currently, schools with this scenario is causing CALPADS fatal error CRSE0639F2.

Scheduling Process > MST Board (Print Board button) or View All Reports > Master Schedule Board Report - For Non-Flex schools, the following report options were added to provide more information about the master schedule and staffing:
Print Room Numbers - If selected, the room number for the teacher and section is printed based on the Master Schedule.
Print Section Numbers - If selected, the section number for the class is printed based on the Master Schedule.
Print Total Students - If selected, the total number of students in the section is printed based on the Master Schedule Total Students field (MST.TS).
Group by Subject Area - If selected, staff are grouped by subject area (CRS.S1) before sorting.

Summer School Course Request setting - YSOD on SMS/MST
In TX, when the Summer School Course Request Scheduling option is enabled, the MST and SMS pages are not displaying the student list due to missing logic for displaying the Language Fluency specifically for PGM.TY = 148. This information was updated in Aug 2024 and did not account for viewing course requests from the SSR table which is used for Summer School. Function needs to include SSR tables for displaying students on the SMS and MST pages, including Wait List tabs.

- Reports > Attendance > Gain and Loss Report: In Flex Daily schools using Primary Class Tracking, the gain/loss counts were inaccurately printing outside of section start dates. Now, sections will accurately print within their active start dates.
