Online Enrollment - Make Parent Ed Level a mandatory field
Make the Parent Ed Level a mandatory field for parents to add/update to Online Enrollment.
54 votesIt turns out that the ability to require the parent education level is already a feature. This can be required for Online Enrollment by turning on the "Ask Parent Education Level" setting in the admin settings. Once turned on, parents cannot proceed without populating the field. Here is some documentation: https://support.aeries.com/support/solutions/articles/14000078615-aeries-online-enrollment-admin-settings

State Seal of Biliteracy - Update for 2022 Requirements
Update the State Seal of Biliteracy process to honor the following requirements for the 2022 graduates:
1. 2022 Grads must pass the 11th Grade CAASPP ELA test with "Standard Met" or above, or they must pass a Locally Determined 11th Grade ELA test
2. If a student took both the 11th Grade CAASPP and a Locally Determined 11th Grade ELA test, the better of the two scores will be used to determine eligibility
3. If a student didn't take either of the tests during their 11th grade year, they can take the 11th grade tests during the 2021-22 year to…4 votesWhile reviewing the code for the State Seal of Biliteracy the programmer found that we already honor each of the 2022 requirements listed in this idea. We have updated the documentation to clarify this: https://support.aeries.com/support/solutions/articles/14000082520-state-seal-of-biliteracy-set-up

Transcript Class Rank - Ability to phase out by grade level
Currently we provide the class rank on our transcripts. We would like to begin the process of phasing this program out by grade level.
2 votesHello! We have a feature called “GPA Configuration Page” that is available. Multiple custom GPAs can be created and it can be used to phase out the Class Rank. It is a “beta” feature and is only available to early adopters. It can be run in a sandbox copy of your database. You would need to contact the Support department for more information. Below is more documentation:

Add Spell Check to 504 Page
We have a request from a staff person to add spell check to the 504 plan. Because they print this out and give to parents for review they would like the extra help. Especially when English is not their first language.
As a workaround I suggested they type in a word doc and copy and paste the info into the 504 plan.
1 voteMost browsers have a spell check feature, the word will be underlined in red and then if the user right clicks they will see suggestions for the correct spelling.

Allow Registration Date & Time to be export from Online Enrollment Pending Database
When exporting the data from the pending database it is only pulling the registration date and not the registration date & time. Is there any way you can include the time? We timestamp all our new registration packets.
1 vote- Documentation: https://support.aeries.com/support/solutions/articles/14000082171-aeries-online-enrollment-importing-students#Export-data-to-Excel-%C2%A0%E2%86%91
- Revision Note from 8/17/2023: The Registration Date can be formatted in Excel to include the time of day when the registration was completed. The default format is MM/DD/YYYY, but the user can change the column format in Excel to use a custom format such as MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS.

Have a place to auto populate the name of person entering incident details in Assertive discipline
It would be easier for District office staff to locate the staff member who added a discipline record for corrections for reporting. Can we have a field that is auto-populated by the user name, or a required field for the person entering the record? The referrer field does not tell us who actually entered the record.
1 voteHi Carolyn,
These fields already exist in the ADS - Assertive Discipline table and can be seen in Aeries Query. The Database Definitions page shows the Query Fields and Names:
IDT - Insert Date
IUI - Insert User ID
IUN - Insert User Name
UUI - Update User ID
UUN - Update User Name

Add username to Attendance Submission Log for each period submission
Right now ASL records the date and time each period attendance was submitted, but it doesn't record who submitted that attendance. It would be helpful for us to know if a teacher submitted that attendance or if an attendance clerk did so. This would be 11 new fields for P0 to P9 Username and AL Username, maybe also another set of the same but for First Submit Username to go with the First Submit Time values.
1 voteIn a Non-Flex school the user name of who submitted attendance is stored in the ATL - Attendance Log table. For flex schools, it is stored in the CAL - Class Attendance Log table. This data is available by Aeries Query.

High School Course creation scheduled by year and credit awarded by semester.
Create high school courses that can be scheduled with one course ID over the year, and credit can be awarded by semester rather than by year. For example, English IV could be scheduled in both fall and Spring using code E400, then credit would be awarded based on semester avgs. in 1/2 credit increments. Two 1/2 credits would total the full 1.0 for the year. Specifically, if a student earned a 70 or higher in the 1st semester, then .5 credit would be awarded for that sem. avg. Then if the student earns a 70 or higher in the second…
1 voteAeries already allows for year-long courses that behave in the way that you described. Here is a link to support documentation that describes the role of the Default Credit and Max Credit fields https://support.aeries.com/support/solutions/articles/14000082302-courses-general-information Please contact support for any additional questions.

Student Documents - space for notes
As we transition to electronic cumulative files, it would be nice to have a space in Student Documents to indicate that files not present may still be in the pre-existing paper cumulative file.

You can use the Red Flag feature on the Documents page to enter this information. Here is more information: https://support.aeries.com/support/solutions/articles/14000071057-red-flags-in-aeries
