Without the 'status field' for this table (chi.tg) I am not able to stop users from selecting an invalid school.

We've just shipped the final set-up piece to allow the creation of the SUN Bucks Supplemental Submisison extract. The final piece, the EDCS extract itself, is in development, and will be released as soon it passes final testing..
- Code Translations: Added support for NSLP Source Code (FRE.SRC) mappings in CALPADS Code Translations. Districts can now map local NSLP source codes to EDCS fixed codes. This new mapping will be used for supporting Sunbucks. See Prepping for Supplemental SUN Bucks Collection (SSBC) via EDCS.

4/2/26 - Recent updates to Attendance Recovery
Yesterday’s release contained quite a few items related to Attendance Recovery that we wanted to bring to your attention:
- We’ve updated our Workflow AR document to make it clear about new set-up tasks that must be completed in order for the process to function properly.
- A new District Setting for ADA Make-Up has been added and must be defined in order to enable this new functionality.
- A new field (ATT.AMU) has been added to store Attendance Minutes Utilized when ADA Make-Up is applied for Attendance Recovery.
- Minutes will be auto-calculated based on the student's Special Ed Alternate Minimum Day, school type, or grade level, depending on which applies.
- We will be adding a process soon to automatically update the ATT.AMU field for any existing absences previously recovered via AR.
- We’ve added the Attendance Recovery Bank page that provides a read-only view of each…

I support Karen's idea. If it's not feasible, at the very least, we should note "Refused to State/Participate" in the FRE table for families who choose not to respond. We rely on the FRE record entries to track income survey responses, and having no entry makes it challenging to monitor participation. Also, there is a field in the FRE table that could be use: FRE.DP. (Declined Participation). This field gets populated when parents fill out the survey, but not when they decline.

Is the addition of a ‘Status’ field to the CHI table currently being considered? Our CHI table has become more difficult to manage, with duplicate and invalid records accumulating regularly. Despite removing user access to add new records, providing targeted training, and clearly defining which school code ranges should and shouldn't be used, I still can’t prevent users from selecting incorrect school codes. This field would be extremely helpful for flagging and managing invalid entries without deleting historical data. Additionally, it would partially resolve other requests like this one: https://ideas.aeries.com/forums/925735-aeries-ideas/suggestions/47676893-course-history-institutions-chi-add-a-method-t
