Students with descriptors having a begin date in a prior school year are not extracting and causing the districts to have missing data and/or errors occur in their Fall PEIMS submissions.

3 votesHello, I wanted to let you know that work on this item was completed and it was released to customers on 1/14/2025. Here are the relevant revision notes:
School Info > Imports and Exports > Escape HR Custom Import - Logging was added to the process in order to allow identification of issues in the import process. The logging includes the scheduled tasks initiation time, task execution steps, the success or failure of each step with detailed error messages for failures, permissions or access issues encountered, network connectivity status during execution, and any anomalies detected. The idea (or bug) has been completed in the 11/12/24 update. Here are the Revision Notes:
Ed-Fi System Init and Testing - An Export Successfully Loaded Records to Excel button was added enabling users to extract JSON to Excel for any newly synchronized entities from the Ed-Fi Data (EFD) table, in order to view all synced records.

Security > Table Permissions - Under Ed-Fi, the following three tables were added allowing non-admin users to have read-only query access to the data:
- Ed-Fi Data (EFD)
- Ed-Fi Results (EFR)
- Ed-Fi Transaction Errors

Scheduling Process > MST Board (Print Board button) or View All Reports > Master Schedule Board Report - For Non-Flex schools, the following report options were added to provide more information about the master schedule and staffing:
Print Room Numbers - If selected, the room number for the teacher and section is printed based on the Master Schedule.
Print Section Numbers - If selected, the section number for the class is printed based on the Master Schedule.
Print Total Students - If selected, the total number of students in the section is printed based on the Master Schedule Total Students field (MST.TS).
Group by Subject Area - If selected, staff are grouped by subject area (CRS.S1) before sorting.

CALPADS SSID Replacement File - remove hidden filler column
Update the file layout to remove the hidden 'filler' column in column 6. The SSID Replacement file should only contain 5 columns. See CALPADS document.
4 votesHello, I wanted to let you know that work on this item was completed and it was released to customers on 10/15/2024. Here are the relevant revision notes:
- CALPADS Extracts - The SSID Replacement process was not accepting the Replacement Files due to an extra hidden column used as a filler in Aeries. Now, the process accepts the original file from CALPADS which only contains 5 columns and will load successfully on the SSID Replacement tab. CALPADS CTE Course Section Provider Code (MST.TEP)
Per CALPADS Flash #287, field 9.27 - CTE Course Section Provider Code on the Course Section (CRSC) file is no longer being used and has become a “filler” field. Update the logic to exclude data from extracting when field MST.TEP is populated. Remove the green state reporting highlight.

Modify data element and XML name for CPR element TE122 to include AED
5 votesHello, I wanted to let you know that work on this item was completed and it was released to customers on 9/24/24. Here are the relevant revision notes:
- Student Data > Demographics (Export button)
- The CPRMetDate element was renamed to CPRAEDMetDate due to changes in graduation requirements. The export now includes the CPRAEDMetDate for students who have an Activities and Awards record where the Type field (ACT.TY) is 5 and the Code field (ACT.CD) is G02 or G05, indicating that the student received instruction in both CPR and AED. - The FHSPDistingIndicatorCode element (TE104) is no longer extracted, as it was removed from the data standards by TEA.
- The export now includes the FHSPDistingLevelParticipant element (TE165) for students who have an Activities and Awards record where the Type field (ACT.TY) is 4, the Code field (ACT.CD) is DLA, and the Reason field (ACT.RS) is DLA-1, indicating that the student is pursuing the distinguished level of achievement program under FHSP. - Demographics - When the user clicks the Import button, a pop-up window is no longer displayed providing users the option to import from Online Enrollment or TREx. Now, clicking Import opens the Aeries Online Enrollment - Student List page allowing users to select a student who enrolled via Aeries Online Enrollment. The From TREx option was removed, as this feature is not currently supported. See Demographics.

School Info > Imports and Exports > CALPADS Extracts (Fall 2 and EOY) - The SDEM and SASS extracts now include the Staff Legal Last Name, Legal First Name, and Legal Middle Name fields when populated in their respective files. NOTE: When using the Legal Name fields in the Staff table, the non-legal Name fields must be populated with the staff member's preferred names. See CALPADS in Aeries Basics-Staff Data or CALPADS Cross Reference by Aeries Page.

Teacher Portal Default View - Class Summary
The default sort order upon logging into the teacher portal doesn't match the programmed "Default" that is listed when the Reset to Default button is pressed. Therefore the user would have to manually set this order themselves to have the Class Summary at the top of the page.
2 votesHello, a fix for this issue was released on 08/13/24. Here are the relevant revision notes:
- Aeries Teacher Portal > Homepage - For teachers without permission to the User Account Options (UAO) table, the default display order of the widgets did not match the default order. Now the widgets are initially displayed in the default order, and can be reset to the default order anytime the teacher clicks Reset to Default in the Widget Settings menu. See Aeries Home.

- Aeries Navigation Menu - The Pages, Reports, and Favorites tabs did provide a visual indicator for the selected tab. The selected tab is now shaded a different color to indicate that it is selected.

New UI: More explicit visualization when logged into a prior year database
In the new UI, the only change when you change to a previous year is that the font is red. This has to be changed to something more profound so it is obvious when users are in a previous database as most colorblind users cannot see red.
8 votesHello, a fix for this issue was released on 08/06/2024. Here are the relevant revision notes:
- Aeries Header - If a user was logged into a prior school year, the school year menu was not adequately differentiated from the current school year menu, increasing the possibility that a user might inadvertently update prior year data. The school year menu is now shaded red and a clock icon is present when a user is logged into a prior school year.
