  1. Add ability to turn off notification of submitting future attendance

    Our attendance clerks are posting period attendance for future dates and have to acknowledge that they are posting future attendance for each day. Pretty tedious when a student is going to be out for a month or longer. It also gives the future warning for the next day. One warning or the ability to turn off those warnings would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello, a fix for this issue was released on 2/15/2023. Here are the revision notes:


    Student Data > Attendance - In Flex Schools using period attendance, users will now be prompted with a confirmation message when entering or modifying an attendance code for a future date. The popup message will include options for OK (Don't Ask Again), allowing the user to temporarily disable any further alert notification while updating future attendance for the current student or any other student within the first 30 days from the current date until the user leaves the Attendance page. Upon reloading the Attendance page, the notifications will be enabled again. See Flex Scheduling - Student Attendance

  2. Progress Report by Student - add STU.ID

    Currently the Progress Report by Student displays STU.SN. We want to use the Secure Document feature in Aeries Communications to distribute progress reports to students, and in order to do so the document must contain either STU.ID or STU.CID.

    Ideally, the STU.ID would appear in a consistent location on each progress report. The simplest way to accomplish this would be to add a line between the title and the date, and print the student ID there (centered).

    Hello, this issue has been resolved in the 02/15/22 update.  Here are the Revision Notes:


    Progress Report by Student - The report title now shows the student ID instead of student number.

    Hello, this idea has been completed in the 4/18/2024 update. Here are the Revision Notes:


    Early Childhood Development Form - See Early Childhood Development EESD 9600 Application.

    • The Early Childhood EESD-9600 Form was updated to align with the      revised form published by the CDE in version 12/17. The new form now      contains the following changes:
      • The name of the form was changed to ELCD 9600 and a FRPM Site       Checkbox was added to the form on page 1
      • A new option - CSPP Only - FRPM Qualified Resident was added in Section A in Family Eligibility Status on page 1.
      • The following two reasons were added in Section B on page 1:
        1. CSPP Only - No Need Required
        2. CSPP Only - FRPM Qualified Resident
      • On page 2, in Section 4 Data on Children, reduced to accommodate 4 rows instead of 5 to align with the form changes.

  6. Student Attendance - Add Teacher Under Course in Flex Attendance

    In the Flex Student Attendance page please add the teacher name under the course title. This would be helpful for attendance clerks to see the teacher name right there.

    Hello, a fix for this issue was released on 07/16/2024. Here are the relevant revision notes:

    • Student Data > Attendance - For schools using Flex Scheduling, the following features were added to enhance functionality:
    • The Options button was added which opens a window providing the following settings:
    • Show Flex Period Time - If selected, the period start and end times are displayed in H:MM format. The setting remains saved even after leaving the page or logging out of Aeries.
    • Show Teacher - If selected, the teacher names are displayed.
    • The section number is now displayed next to each course.
    • The current date is highlighted in yellow.

    Hello, I wanted to let you know that work on this item was completed and it was released to customers on 8/27/2024. Here are the relevant revision notes:


    Reports > Attendance Percentages by Teacher - The report was added to provide the Percentage Present and Percentage Absent by teacher, which are calculated based on the number of dates within a selected date range. See Attendance Percentages by Teacher Report.

  8. Using Seating Chart Report for COVID Contact Tracing

    Using Seating Chart Report for COVID Contact Tracing
    Covid testing students who were sitting in the vicinity of a positive tested student need to be identified
    The new and improved seating charts would be a great tool to assist with the process.
    If a teacher creates their seating chart based on the Attendance by Photo - Old, then administrators are able to run the Classroom Photo/Seating Chart report. The newest version attendance by photo seating chart does not print.

    Is there any means for us to make this capability available to anyone other than teachers? Admin, Office staff?

    ATT report Daily Present by Teacher includes inactive teachers (who have MST sections linked to TN). Please add option to exclude inactive teachers with no students attending in the month selected

  10. Same Name report to include inactive records

    We are reviewing our database and finding a ton of records newly imported this year with a new Perm Id that already had an existing Perm id. If the same name report compared active and inactive we could easily catch more of these without such extensive research.

    Students With Same Name Report – A new option to “Include Inactive Students” has been added to this report.

  11. Attendance Page in FLEX Should Revert to the Original View

    Allow the Attendance page in a flex school to display with minimal options and a more condensed view. The header has too much information. Condense all rows to display more of the student's attendance for more days in the month. The user wants to have similar views as the non-flex school does.

    Hello, this new element is now available in the 9/20/2022 update. Here are the Revision Notes:
    Texas Specific:

    • Assertive      Discipline - The Safe and Supportive      School Program Team Review field (ADS.SSP) and its associated date      (ADS.SDT) were added to support the new Summer PEIMS data element E1734.
    • Texas      State Reporting (Summer PEIMS) - The Student      Discipline Incident Association Extension extract now includes the      SAFE-SUPPORTIVE-SCHOOL-PROGRAM-TEAM-REVIEW (E1734) element according to      the new specifications.

    It is easy to lose the current day in the new horizontal att calendar when scrolling. It is still highlighted in Elem w/MST and secondary school types but not Flex.

  17. Adjust Online Enrollment to support separate Education Levels for Parents/Guardians

    Adjustments needed because of changes CALPADS is making for Parent/Guardian information on the SINF file: Data is now being collected separately for Guardian 1 and Guardian 2: First Name, Last Name, Education Level.

    Move current question regarding Parent Ed Level into section collecting Parent/Guardian Info instead of the Student info. Use new field on Contacts to hold this information (CON.ELV) - same codes as old STU.PED field
