CALPADS Extracts - The SPRG extract now provides multiple extract files consolidated into a single zip file due to import process changes made by CALPADS. The sub-files are pre-pended with a three-digit number indicating the order in which they should be uploaded (e.g., 001, 002, 003, etc.)

Date Track LEP Indicator
The LEP indicator should become date tracked to assist with state reporting for students that are not LPAC'd until after the Fall PEIMS Snapshot Date.

Students with Incomplete Class Schedules: update for Flex
In some Flex schools, where the schedule is not complex and/or parallels the traditional 0-9 periods, this report would still be useful to find students who are missing section(s) in their schedule. Could the report be updated to work with Flex, even if the user had to input which Flex Periods or time range and which students to evaluate? Or could the report produce a list of students who have a 15/20/30/60 minute gap in their schedule? Or could this information be provided in some other way?
15 votesHello, I wanted to let you know that additional work on this item was completed and it was released to customers on 3/11/2025. Here are the relevant revision notes:
Reports > Scheduling > Print Students with Incomplete Class Schedules (Flex): In Flex schools, this report has been adjusted to assist in identifying time gaps in the student's scheduled classes that might indicate their schedule is incomplete. The report now supports SMS/SSS option for identifying incomplete course requests. See Students with Incomplete Class Schedules (Flex)

CALPADS SPRG ODS Delete File is Failing
Since the CALPADS Post Redesign, the SPRG ODS Extract requested from CALPADS is missing the Academic Year and is causing the Aeries Delete files to fail when submitting to CALPADS. This is CALPADS Known Issue #6050. Programming will adjust the Aeries SPRG ODS Reconciliation Delete files and add the Academic Year to prevent the CALPADS Failed message and allow the records to post.

Select Periods for MST Board Report
Allow the ability to select which period to display on the MST Board report. Currently, this is based on a start time - but allowing districts to select which periods to print can display the primary MST schedule and allow the second page to be the unique flex periods.

Scheduling Process > Flex SMS Board - At schools using Flex Scheduling, the Flex Periods to Print button is now displayed instead of the Start Time drop-down option. The new button opens a list of existing Flex periods, including title and start/end times, allowing the user to select up to ten periods to print. This feature is also available when using the Print Board button on the Flex MST Board page.

Is it possible to add an SID column to the "Special Education Class List" report?
Our SPED folks find it time consuming to have to lookup the SID for every student of interest from this report.

- Reports > Special Education Class List Report: When printing with the “Print by Student Services and Teacher” option, the report previously pulled the Teacher# from CSV.TN, which is no longer visible in the UI. It now correctly uses the CSV.SI field, displaying the Staff ID number only, and continues sorting by Student Service code. Additionally, the report now includes an ETH column populated from STU.ETH and a Race (or RC) column populated from STU.RC1. The outdated E/C column has been removed. These changes apply to all print options and school types to ensure accurate and current data.

- The Transitional Kindergarten grade level (TK) was added to Grade Level translations. - Effective July 1, 2023, the SPRG extract no longer auto-generates program records with code 185 for Transitional Kindergarten as of a 2023-2024 database.
