TX: Summer PEIMS - New Code Table C235 for E1596: Associate Degree Indicator
Beginning with the Summer PEIMS Submission for 23-24, TEA is requiring districts to report the actual associate degree the student earned using coding off of the new C235 table. This will be reported for students who completed an Associate's Degree in 11th or 12th grade.

In a Flex school where primary class tracking is enabled, allow the extended field for PRIMARYTEACHERNAME and PRIMARYTEACHERID to be printed on the letter when added in the letter text editor for Attendance Letters

Adjust the SDEM extract to use the 'Race Intentionally Left Blank' option when STF race fields have this designated tag. Currently, the CALPADS option is only used for Students. Adjust this field to honor Staff too.

School Info > Imports and Exports > CALPADS Extracts (Fall 2 and EOY tabs) (SDEM) - The SDEM extract now honors the “Race Intentionally Left blank indicator” on the CALPADS > Other Options tab. The extract sets the Staff Race Missing Indicator to Y if the Race field on the Staff page (STF.RC1) is set to a code that is translated to 'Race Intentionally Left Blank." Staff Schedule Report for Flex
Please add a Flex version of the Staff Schedule Report and add some of the same options that were available. Multiple staff rely on this report.

Scheduling Process > MST Board (Print Board button) or View All Reports > Master Schedule Board Report - For schools using Flex Scheduling, the following report options were added to provide Flex schools more information about the master schedule and staffing: See Flex Scheduling - Master Schedule Board
- Print Room Numbers - will print the room number for the teacher/section from MST
- Print Section Numbers - will print the section number of the class from MST
- Print Total Students - will print the total number of students in the section based on the MST total students field (MST.TS)

Convert to Flex Scheduling - Create a Year Long Class Calendar
Having the process create a 5 day sample record requires the user to have to remember to go back and complete the full year class calendar after the rollover. This enhancement will save users that step during the first time conversion.

Configurations > Scheduling Setup - The Convert to Flex Scheduling process was updated as follows:
- The Start of Sample Week for Class Calendars field was replaced with the Class Calendar Start Date and Class Calendar End Date fields allowing the user to enter any dates when creating a year-long class calendar record for the next academic year. See Scheduling Setup > Convert to Flex Scheduling
- The process now includes the following fields when converting teacher data to scheduling: School (TCH.SC), Room (TCH.RM), LO (TCH.LO), HI (TCH.HI), and Max Stu/Day (TCH.MX). See Staff Scheduling Information > Overview

Enhance the TREx extract to verify sections with multiple courses when using Alt Ed Scheduling for individual sections.

Student Data > Demographics - The Export options for TREx did not include courses when there was one section with multiple courses numbers (i.e., Alt Ed Scheduling). Now all courses are included when one section has multiple course numbers.

Update the TREx AAR Transcript Extract file to include transcript indicators that have been entered on the Transcripts page.

Student Demographics (TREx Export - Transcript) - The SPECIAL-EXPLANATION-CODE element in the Academic Session complex type was only extracted if entered on the Courses page (Course Characteristics table (CCH)). The element is now also extracted from Transcripts page (Course History Characteristics table (CHC)) if present for courses entered directly on the transcript. See TREx Field Mapping.

SINF Extract - Log info or notify user when a student has an error and 'failed' message displays
When the SINF process runs and a student has a 'failed' message, it displays the 'Failed and Student ID number" until the process finishes then later displays as "Completed" when it's finished. The file is still downloadable and is valid for the customer to use. A solution is needed to better handle when a student has an error and the error needs to be resolved by the customer prior to running the SINF extract again.

UC ELC - TES Extract - Option to include Graduated Seniors
Every fall the TES extract needs to be run in the prior year database to gather all of the 9th-12th grade transcript records for that year. Currently the TES extract only includes the records of active students. Please add an option to include students with certain inactive statuses, such as "Graduated".

TX: Update Schl Enter Date (STU.ED) when Enrollment Record Saved
3 votesHello, this been completed in the 11/16/2023 update. Here are the Revision Notes:
Student Data > Enrollment History - When the enrollment Enter Date (ENR.ED) is added or changed for a student, the student School Enter Date field (STU.ED) is now automatically updated with the latest enrollment entry date that is not a code 440 Program or Grade Change.
No past data was changed. A future update will correct any missing or incorrect Schl Enter Dates. You may continue to use a Change query to set the STU.ED field when needed.
The STU.ED date field is used in the following features:
- Demographics - Export Student (TREx)
- Demographics - Update Attendance
- Transcripts
- PEIMS (Child Find extract)
- Gradebook > Assignments
- Reports > Students Actively Enrolled in Two Schools
- Reports > Students With Duplicate Enrollment
- Reports > Student Withdrawal Form
- Reports > Student Data Printout

CALPADS Extracts - For CALPADS administrators, on the code translations tab, the CON.ELV values can now be selected in the dropdown under the CALPADS column when adding or editing a record for a custom code. Only custom codes need to be translated for CON.ELV.
