  2. Student Attendance Detail add student's CTE Code V1 - V6 status by date

    On the Student Attendance Detail, the CTE code V1 - V6 displayed for each student in the Programs area does not reflect a code change during overlapping CAR dates (when the student was enrolled in more than one CTE section, and when the CAR dates for the 1+ sections are not the same). If a student is in CTE, their student page should reflect the student's status of V1 - V6 by date so that the customer can tell how many days the student was V1 vs. V2, etc., during the reporting period.

  3. Add option for Inactive teachers in Weekly Instructional Minutes

    I know this was done by design because districts specifically requested that inactive teachers be suppressed from the drop-down lists, but this is affecting teachers that left mid-year now too! So now we can't audit the minutes certifications for any teacher that left mid-year. This is an audit issue! We need to access inactive teachers, so can it please be added as an option we can check on the Weekly Instructional Minutes page.

    Hello, this item has been completed in the 2/19/21 Out-Of-Band Update. Here are the Revision Notes:
    CALPADS Extracts

    1) A new setting was added under Other Options to force Parent/Guardian information (SINF/SIAD) to be extracted exclusively from STU.PG and STU.PED. The option is deselected by default. See CALPADS Extracts – Other Options Tab

    2) The Parent/Guardian Highest Education Level will always be pulled from STU.PED, even when processing Guardian information from the CON table. This will remain in place until CALPADS changes the SINF file layout in preparation for 22-23.

  5. CALPADS SDEM - Staff extract was extracting staff with Hire dates up to October 31.

    CALPADS SDEM Extract: Adjust the query that selects staff to use the Census Date rather than October 31 when evaluating the hire date and the Job Assignment Start Date (STJ). Only extract Staff as of Information Day.

    CALPADS Extracts
    The Staff Demographics (SDEM) extract was adjusted to evaluate the staff hire date against the Census Date, instead of October 31st as it was required before.

  6. Add section number to the attendance page for Flex Scheduling schools

    The attendance page for flex schools currently displays flex period, time, and course name. When there is a change of section/teacher but the course and time stays the same, there is no way to distinguish between the sections if attendance was taken by the wrong teacher.

    This was completed in the 7/16/24 version of Aeries for Flex. Here is the revision notes:

    Student Data > Attendance - For schools using Flex Scheduling, the following features were added to enhance functionality:

    The Options button was added which opens a window providing the following settings:

    Show Flex Period Time - If selected, the period start and end times are displayed in H:MM format. The setting remains saved even after leaving the page or logging out of Aeries.

    Show Teacher - If selected, the teacher names are displayed.

    The section number is now displayed next to each course.

    The current date is highlighted in yellow.

  7. Special Program -- Tribal Foster Youth (code 193) State Highlighting needs to be adjusted

    Special Program Tribal Foster Youth (code 193) is an Eligibility program but the Participation dates are highlighted. The State Reporting highlight needs to be changed to highlight the Eligible dates.

    Hello, the idea (or bug) has been completed in the 3/19/21 update. Here are the Revision Notes:
    The Period View option was added to allow toggling from a Timeline View to a Period View, and vice versa. While in Period View, the new Period Filter allows filtering out the desired periods to display on the board. All functionality is similar to the SMS Board, including button click and drag-and-drop.

    Would like to have the option to hide the "Was this student in special education" on the "Other District Enrollments" page.

  13. Classes Section of the Parent Portal should display the Gradebook name

    The Classes section on the new Parent Portal student dashboard, is displaying the Course name instead of gradebook name in an elementary with MST school. The Class Summary is displaying both the Course and Gradebook name.

    Adjustments are needed in Aeries Analytics because of changes CALPADS is making for Parent/Guardian information on the SINF file. Education Level is now being collected separately for Guardian 1 and Guardian 2, Currently one method the student meets the definition is if the highest education level in STU.PED is Not A High School Graduate.

    Hello, a fix for this issue was released on 06/04/2024. Here are the relevant revision notes:

    Aeries Analytics (LCAP Indicators) - The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Status now uses the Ed Level field on the Contacts page (CON.ELV) instead of Student Parent Education Level (STU.PED) to determine student's Socio-Economically Disadvantaged status, according to changes in CALPADS requirements. The criteria is now based on both parent's highest education level being equivalent to 'not a high school graduate,' unless only one parent is reported to CALPADS. Contacts are identified as Parent/Guardians based on Record Type field (CON.CD) according to District Settings.  See Analytics Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Students or Chart of LCAP Indicators.

  17. Adjust Data Confirmation to support separate Education Levels for Parents/Guardians

    Adjustments needed because of changes CALPADS is making for Parent/Guardian information on the SINF file: Data is now being collected separately for Guardian 1 and Guardian 2: First Name, Last Name, Education Level.

    Move any reference to Highest Parent Ed Level into section collecting Contact Info for Parent/Guardian. Use new field on Contacts to hold this information (CON.ELV) - same codes as old STU.PED field and allow parents to enter/update data as part of DC process.

    Hello, the idea (or bug) has been completed in the 02/12/21 update. Here are the Revision Notes:

    • District Settings – A selection list was added under District Settings for specifying which Record Type codes (CON.CD) represent the parent/guardian.
    • CALPADS Extracts – The SINF extract now gets the Parent/Guardian information from the CON table.
    • The option to choose between residential and mailing address was removed. SINF and SIAD now only use the mailing address.

    Also, the Parent Highest Education Level field (STU.PED) has been made visible/editable on Student Demographics even if the field is empty.
