This clarification message was added to the SUN Bucks communcation pieced linked earlier, so we are adding it here to maintain consistency as to our plans:

There seems to still be some confusion, so we are clarifying out intended actions, as many comments added to this idea cover a wide variety of requests:

We are planning development during the current quarter to make specific upgrades to allow recording in Aeries which students were designated as Free or Reduced based on the UBA (and not the NSLP Application) via a new Source Code. Also, in the same way that districts can make the NSLP application available for download in the parent portal, a customized UBA could also be uploaded into the Parent Portal so they can access it to fill out.

The actual collecting of the UBA, analyzing the responses, assigning the status to a student, and conducting audits would…

Any idea on timeline for these features to be rolled out? And how this may work with any independent study attendance? We are looking at both attendance recovery and independent study for 25-26, and it would be great to have an idea on these features by the end of June (e.g., so we can plan in summer for 25-26).

We use Aeries online enrollment (for new students) and data confirmation (for returning students).

Aeries enrollment is set up to require at least one parent/guardian contact and that any parent/guardian contact state their highest level of education. Given the changes in CALPAD reporting requirements for parent names/education levels, is there a way to make this a requirement for both parents (and opt out if only one parent) for both online enrollment and data confirmations?

We are in the process of separating the different types of portal options into phases so they can be developed and released in smaller increments. That will help us deliver them in stages, rather than waiting for the entire project to be finsihed & released all together.
