  2. SENR ODS reconciliation - unneeded removal records generated

    The SENR ODS reconciliation process is creating D records in the removals file needlessly when a student has an enrollment status change (such as grade level, school transfer) - commonly referred to as a 440 or E150 change. In these cases the enrollment date (start date) is not changing... nor are the other SENR operational key fields (School of Attendance, SSID, Start Date) - so a (D)elete record is not needed.

    Having uneeded (D)elete records in the removals file causes increased workload due to:
    - it requires an additional file to be posted.

    Hello, this issue has been resolved in the 3/23/2023 update.  Here are the Revision Notes:

    An unnecessary Delete record was generated when an E150 Exit Reason existed and the School, Student, and Enrollment Start Dates were the same, fixed.

  3. Date Track LEP Indicator

    The LEP indicator should become date tracked to assist with state reporting for students that are not LPAC'd until after the Fall PEIMS Snapshot Date.

    Hello, this idea has been completed in the 3/30/2023 update. Here are the Revision Notes:
    Language Assessment - The State Tests tab is now available, allowing maintenance of testing information related to language program participation.

    Test Scores - The LAS, PRELAS, TELPAs and TELPAS A tests were added to the list of available tests.

  6. SBG Gradebooks - GBS.MK Numeric when Portal Option "TeachersWillUseSTNMarkTypesInGradebooks" is True and GBK.SD is blank

    Since 12/1/2022 if these conditions are met:

    -SBG gradebook
    -in schools with the above Portal Option on
    -gradebook does not have an Overall Standard selected, and
    -assignments have Standards and Input by Standard is selected

    then the GBS (Gradebook Assignment Score) records are saving numeric values as the Mark rather than the translated SBG Mark

  7. Assertive Discipline Foster Youth

    Please have Aeries show a red message for students who have an active 190 Special Program Record or active record in the Foster Details screen the same way that it does for students who have IEP information in the SpEd screen and 504 students. "Student with an IEP" but instead "Student is a Foster Youth". That would be a huge help to sites to know right when they're entering an Assertive Discipline incident that the student is a current Foster Youth & their social worker and/or attorney will need to be notified of the incident.

     Hello, this idea (or bug) has been completed in the 10/26/2023 update. Here are the Revision Notes:

    Assertive Discipline - The messages "Student is in Foster Care" and "Student is Homeless" are now displayed if the student is associated with either program.

  8. Flex/Section Staff Conversion: copy Teachers (TCH) data to Staff Scheduling Info (SSI)

    When a school converts from traditional scheduling to Flex scheduling and/or if they start to use Section Staff, can certain fields from TCH (for example, TCH.RM, TCH.MS, TCH.LO, TCH.HI) be copied to the SSI fields for the appropriate school and staff record? Those would be SSI.RM, SSI.MX, SSI.LO, and SSI.HI in my example.

    The reason I'm asking is to save customers some data entry work, especially if they have to do this manually.

    Hello, this idea (or bug) has been completed in the 4/4/2024 update. Here are the Revision Notes:


    Configurations > Scheduling Setup - The Convert to Flex Scheduling process was updated as follows:

    • The Start of Sample Week for Class Calendars field was replaced with the Class Calendar Start Date and Class Calendar End Date fields allowing the user to enter any dates when creating a year-long class calendar record for the next academic year. See Scheduling Setup > Convert to Flex Scheduling
    • The process now includes the following fields when converting teacher data to scheduling: School (TCH.SC), Room (TCH.RM), LO (TCH.LO), HI (TCH.HI), and Max Stu/Day (TCH.MX). See Staff Scheduling Information > Overview

    Hello, this idea has been completed in the 12/21/2022 update. Here are the Revision Notes:
    Attendance Based Grade Reporting - The Add credit denied due to excessive absences comment to the report card option was added allowing a 99-Credit Denied comment to be displayed on the Grades pages and report card when a student has a passing grade but was not awarded credit. When enabled, the code populates GRD.C1, GRD.C2, or GRD.C3 for the selected students.

    Hello, a fix for this issue was released on 07/16/2024. Here are the relevant revision notes:

    • Aeries API - When the Exclude Expired Accounts for Staff Data option is enabled on the API Security page, staff records are no longer excluded from the Staff endpoint results in cases where the staff record exists but does not have a user account in the User and Group Names table (UGN).

    TREx (Student Record)

    • The CourseGrade and CourseCredit elements are now extracted for the CurrentCoursework complex. See TREx Field Mapping.
    • The CurrentCoursework and AcademicSession complexes now include courses that were failed or completed but no credit was received.

  19. Standards Based Report Cards - Print "Primary Teacher" on Report Card for Flex Period Attendance Schools with Elementary Students

    Flex Elem Daily Attendance schools have the title "Primary Teacher" on the SBG report card, but Flex Elem Period Attendance schools have the title "Counselor" on the SBG report card.

  20. LTEL Import Process Changes

    Due to the new file that the State is providing the LTEL data to districts, the current process in Aeries needs to be adjusted. Here are the changes that need to be made in Aeries:
    LTEL Import:
    --Allow processing of a CSV file
    --Ignore text qualified characters in the file like commas
    --Modify the Aeries CALPADS Extracts, LTEL Import page

    Hello, 

    This issue has been resolved in the 11/17/2022 update.  Here are the Revision Notes:


    The LTEL Import now handles the new LTEL file format and comma-delimited files. The load and process buttons for the LTEL state file were removed as they are no longer needed. Also the process now handles special characters in the file.  See CALPADS Extracts - LTEL Import Tab
