  4. FAFSA Completion Recording to Comply with CA State Law

    California is now requiring schools to have students completed the FAFSA or get a waiver or opt out form signed by the parent. We would love to see a spot built in to the counseling area to record that a student has completed this or that an opt out form is on file. If we could upload that signed form too, that would be a huge bonus.

  5. Standards Based Report Cards - Print "Primary Teacher" on Report Card for Flex Period Attendance Schools with Elementary Students

    Flex Elem Daily Attendance schools have the title "Primary Teacher" on the SBG report card, but Flex Elem Period Attendance schools have the title "Counselor" on the SBG report card.

  6. Change CALPADS process to generate multiple EOY file types

    Due to the changes CALPADS launched in their new environment, we must make immediate adjustments to the End of Year Extracts

    FOR EOY Process, must output different records into several extracts
    Deletes
    Exits
    Updates

    This process is needed for any EOY file that is NOT a full-replacement file.

  8. Student Checkin

    Have Aeries have a window where each school site can check in students upon late arrival or early check out.
    Student would scan their id into the system using a barcode scanner that would capture their STU ID.
    Then a window would pop up asking for reason for Tardy.
    Dr. Appointment
    COVID Test
    No Reason
    Other
    That would update their attendance record with code and reason and the attendance clerk could just verify.

    Hello, this issue has been completed in the 01/05/2023 update.  Here are the Revision Notes:

    Ed-Fi System Initialization and Testing - Alt Ed Scheduling sections did not sync correctly when Allow Individual Sections to be Flagged for Alt Ed Scheduling was enabled on School Settings, fixed.

  11. Add a field for Staff Legal name on STF

    We have to use our staff's legal name for any state reporting. However, our district allow our staff members to operate with a preferred name. I am asking for a space for a staff legal name so we can use the preferred name everywhere else in the system (master schedule, portals, Staff table).

    Hello, this idea has been completed in the 3/21/2024 update. Here are the relevant Revision Notes:


    School Info > Staff - See Staff documentation.
    The following fields were added allowing a staff member's legal name and gender to be recorded. Schools can use the existing non-legal name and gender fields for the staff's preferred name and gender. These fields are not included in state reporting extracts at this time.

    • Legal Last Name (STF.LLN)
    • Legal First Name (STF.LFN)
    • Legal Middle Name (STF.LMN)
    • Legal Suffix (STF.LSF)
    • Legal Gender (STF.LGN)

  14. Allow Dual Credit courses to be flagged as a Distance Learning course

    When a course is set to Dual Credit (course level 23 or 24) allow the Distance Learning indicator and Online Course Instr Type to be populated by the LEA for CALPADS CRSC file. Remove the hard-coded "N" logic for DL Indicator.

    Hello, this issue has been resolvedin the 5/11/2023 update.  Here are the Revision Notes:

    CALPADS (CRSC Extract) - For college level courses (Type 23 or 24), the values for Distance Learning Indicator and Online Course Instruction Type are now extracted according to MST.DLI and MST.OIT settings rather than hard coded.

  15. Add LANG-99 to hard-coded values in Courses > California Specific Fields > Crs Content Subcategory

    In Courses > California Specific Fields > Crs Content Subcategory, add LANG-99 (from the CALPADS Code Sets) to the hard-coded choices in the dropdown menu.

  18. CERS Student Groups - User Interface Issues

    The CERS Student Groups page has several user interface issues that need to be addressed: indicate when the page is saved, refresh the page after a new profile is created, indicate when the user has selected too many teachers or additional users to save in the system, allow users to see the selected profile settings in Read mode, Allow users to view Extract Configuration Options for a saved Profile without going into Edit mode. allow more than 30 teachers and the Only Show Staff From Selected Schools does not display the staff when logged in at the District level.

    Hello, the idea (or bug) has been completed in the 3/3/2023 update.  Here are the Revision Notes:

    • Manage Grading Snapshot - The Active Gradebook Entries Only option is now available under the Manage Grading Snapshot section. Selecting this option will exclude gradebooks that the student in no longer active in from the snapshot calculations. Using this option when calculating the Grading Snapshot will ensure that the Grade Report card will only display grading snapshot marks for the gradebooks that the student is active in.   20. Gradebook Details - Does not Display Number Possible for Teachers/Parents/Students in Certain Situations

    Gradebook Details does not display number possible for Teachers/Parents/Students for 'GRD' gradebooks in schools that are doing both Standards Based Grade Reporting and Grade Reporting and have the Portal Option 'DisplayMarksOnlyForSBGGradesAndGradebooks' set.
