Yes and have it apply to staff too (I want to only look at the same courses I have students look at 99% of the time). Maybe a toggle for staff to show all or limit by default.

Totally - I was tired of having to muddle through the Academic Plan config, use, and little useful outputs, so I coded my own in about 5 hours using Bolt.new AI coding and it not only looks better - it is easier to actually use and customizable to my needs. It seems like the pros could easily make this tool actually useful in short work, but alas....

It would be awesome if it could look at the primary subject area and default to that - it seems that 80-90% of alternates are in the same subject area (this science course instead of that one or this art course instead of that one)

I was just thinking of this - even a report that tallied availability for particular grade levels by period to help make sure we are spreading out course availability evenly throughout the day and identify trouble periods easier. It could easily pull from the grade range we enter under the courses and just tally them up.

Can we PLEASE get this seemingly simple fix to a prohibitive problem for using Academic Plans? We have hundreds of courses (even TK courses) display when we filter courses to select. I want to be able to manually select the actual courses I want to display for students when editing their plan from the extensive list of all courses ever used anywhere in our district.
