When running a report, allow an option for using color for missing assignments
The reports are only in black and white. Allow the option to have the missing assignments highlighted red when you print them out. This is so that the students can easily find their missing assignments on a report.

Create an option for standards based grading using Marzano's Power Law
What is the Power Law Formula for standards-based grading?
An internet search for “Power Law Formula” results in hundreds of listings in a wide variety of fields including astronomy, meteorology, and engineering. In his highly regarded book TRANSFORMING CLASSROOM GRADING, Robert J. Marzano describes the use of this formula for standards-based grading. The math behind the power law formula is quite complex (see below), but all that’s necessary for its use is that you know what it does, how to interpret its scores, and when best to use it.
In essence, the power law formula predicts what the student’s next…2 votes -
Provide a user option for which Date Completed to use when entering Scores: Due Date, Today, or Other
When entering students scores for an assignment the Date Completed defaults to the due date. This of course is only a problem when students are submitting work late. It would be nice if it would either default to today's date or have an option either in the gradebook set-up or when entering scores fields.

Enhance Keyboard Navigation in Scores By Class
When entering grades on the assignments by class page, I would like to be able to press "PageUp" and "PageDown" to scroll up and down one page at a time.
I also want to be able to use "Home" to go to the top of the spreadsheet (the first student) and "End" to go to the bottom of the spreadsheet (the last student).
Also, the arrow keys currently only scroll up and down when you get to an empty cell. The arrow keys should scroll up and down regardless of whether you have enter a grade for the student already…

Allow assignments for individual students that are not posted for the whole gradebook (differentiated assignments)
Some students require differentiated or alternate assignments that do not need to be viewed for all students. This would permit those assignments to be added to their grades.

On the Scores by Class view, have the ability to filter for only students who are missing assignments
Currently the Student view has a check box to only show only missing assignments. Add the same functionality to the scores by class page could be useful.

2 votesHaiku has the ability to send scores into our system via our API now. They have yet to implement that.

Locking scores, or giving an alert when about to overwrite a score
I have accidentally overwritten scores. It would be good if there was an alert when you are about to overwrite a score in case you really don't want to.
49 votesWe’re considering some kind of log history. You would easily be able to see the scores you changed, and it would have an “undo” button next to that score in case you accidentally overwrote a score

Making it so only items set in date range for viewing come up when printing reports. Currently everything comes up. Annoying!!
When printing reports, make it so the only assignments that are checked are the ones in your date range. Currently all show. I have to unselect and then check each box of the current term. Annoying. I do not wish to set up a new grade book at the end of the semester, so I just change the dates in setting to be used for grading and for viewing. This range should be the same that comes up for reports.
2 votesThis will be solved by the new “Gradebook Terms” feature that is coming out very soon. For more information, wait for the announcement about Gradebook Terms

Enter grades by seating chart!!
This was one of the best features of Easy Grade Pro! When teachers walk around we write grades on seating charts. To be able to enter the grades in that order is an a huge time saver. I have been missing this feature for years now!

Gradebook Report content should match the current view of assignments and students
Currently, when a teacher prints a gradebook report, they have to re-select all the filters for the reports. When a filter has been applied in the Gradebook, it should automatically flow to the reports.

Teachers should be able to sort the Scores by Assignment and Scores by Student forms by all of the column headers and have that sort be "remembered" from that point forward.

We would show thumbnails of student pictures. This would be an option to turn on or off.

take out the charts
On the student side, take out the "trending graph" of their grades. Even though some are doing well, if they go from an A to an A-, it says their grades are trending downward. For some students and/or parents, this is discouraging and frustrating to understand.
1 voteThis can already be accomplished. It is a site decision and affects the portal site wide. You need to discuss this with your district Aeries person if you wish it turned off for your site.
