  1. Gradebook Standards - Add Color to Proficiency Numbers

Adding color to proficiency would assist teachers in getting an at-a-glance view of their students' performance without having to look at each number separately. This could be by assignment or standard, etc.

We are adding the ability for a district to define default color schemes for “Percentages” and “Rubrics”, and will be able to be turned off or on by teacher. This will be available to all teachers after development and testing has been completed, most likely during the summer. Thank you for your continual feedback!

  2. Gradebook Pages - Highlight Failing Grades

Would like to request that failing grades for assignments are highlighted and failing overall averages are also highlighted. This would allow a quick visual on who is not passing at the moment.

  3. Add a code for missing assignments in gradebook

In the Gradebook, when similar to how there is NA = Not applicable and TX = Teacher Excused, adding another code such as M or MI so that I can manually mark an assignment as missing would be really helpful.

This is particularly true with the new "Import assignments from google button" which will not import scores for assignments that are marked finished.

Currently the teacher must grade everything first then select “is grading complete?" to mark assignments as missing.

Hello! Partial functionality for this feature shipped in the 4/15/2021 Aeries version. A Gradebook Custom Marks Configuration page was released to begin setup of Custom marks for District use. Teachers can contact their District to discuss custom marks.

Integration of this Custom mark Configuration with the Gradebook is still being worked on but will be shipped in the near future.

  4. Missing assignment color options in gradebook

I have certain assignments that, when missing, I do not allow students to make up. These assignments show up in red and continually show up in the number of missing assignments on the student/parent main page. My students are seventh graders and the students and parents continually want to make these up in order to erase the missing assignments count and the red box. I continually have to explain that the assignment is no longer eligible to be made up. Many teachers will put in a 0 when assignments are no longer able to be made up (and parents will…

  5. Allowing teachers to prevent the grade % from being displayed so a four point (0-4, or other) grading system can easily be implemented

Allowing teachers to use the "Final Grades" tab to create a 0-4 (four) point grading system - this will require that the teacher be able to disable the student grade % from being displayed in places like the parent portal, student portal and all other downstream locations. Using the "Final Grades" tab in the existing gradebook already works to allow teachers to implement the four point grading system, but the display of the grade % adjacent to the grade causes confusion for students and parents - as well as concern about special education cases where a target % has been…

  8. Allow URLs to be posted using the Briefcase feature instead of requiring actual file uploads

This would be great for schools using Google Docs. Currently, only actual files are allowed to be associated with an assignment. Schools using Google Docs have no easy way of associating their files to particular assignments.

  9. Use one grade-book for for multiple schools/same course within a school district instead of having to start over with each school.

I am in an Independent Study program. Because Aeries will not allow me to copy a grade-book (assignments, grade weight, etc.) from one school to another within the same school district, I have to start from scratch and duplicate the entire grade-book for each school even though it is essentially the same course.

  10. Show assignment # in assignment pull down menu.

Make looking for assignments easier by showing the assignment number along with the written description in the assignment pull down menu.
