We are in the process of separating the different types of portal options into phases so they can be developed and released in smaller increments. That will help us deliver them in stages, rather than waiting for the entire project to be finsihed & released all together.

Currently in Aeries, change queries may bypass any kind of business logic. This will not be the case in the next generation of Aeries however.
