Screening for Risk of Reading Difficulties required by Ed Code 53008
There is new annual Screening for Risk of Reading Difficulties program beginning in the 2025-56 school year for K-2 students. Part of the requirements are parent notification of Screener results. Aeries is planning development of a feature to facilitate this in our system. This will allow Districts to utilize the results of whatever Screener provider they choose to import into Aeries to allow administrators, teachers and parents to access the results, via the admin, teacher and parent portals.

Program Codes and Rollover
Program Codes - Enhance to Allow for rolling forward certain program codes and their associated data and have a configurable start date be entered as the new start date of the records
6 votesHello, this work item has been completed and was released on 4/1/26. Here are the relevant revision notes:
- The New Year Rollover process now supports per-program configuration for closing and reopening Program (PGM) records. District administrators can choose one of three actions for each program code — retain records as-is, end open records with a specified date, or end current-year records and automatically create new ones for the upcoming school year. This flexible, program-by-program approach replaces the previous single-action method.
- The New Year Rollover page has been updated to allow users to granularly specify programs close-out dates, and/or re-open dates.
- The Close Out Open Programs (PGM) configuration option on the Settings tab now includes an option in the configuration modal allowing the user to set the Action for all Programs listed to other than the 'Do Nothing' default setting.

Student Programs Report needs an option for "Active Programs Only"
The Student Program Report is printing information for programs that have an end date. When the report is run for the Transitional Kindergarten program, it shows results for students who were in the program the previous school year and have since had an end date added. An option needs to be added to only display Active/Current program information.
