Handle Transfer Grades
If a student transfers into a gradebook, they will have missed at least some of the assignments. Allow teachers to enter a single score that would be applied to a range of assignments.
292 votesThis was released in the 4/29/2016 version of Aeries.
-
Linked Gradebook Assignments
Allow teachers to add an assignment to linked gradebooks that does not apply to all gradebooks.

Print a seating chart on one sheet of paper regardless of class size.
My seating chart prints on two pages -- rendering the seating chart option useless.

The ability to print the "comment" section on student reports
When entering grades there is a "comment" column where teachers add things like "late", "incomplete", etc. This enhancement would allow these comments to be printed on student reports.

-

Getting rid of the window within the window for entering student grades.
Currently, when entering grades, there is a window on the web page, and teachers have to scroll up and down to find students. Teachers have to manage 2 scroll bars. Being able to see all students on 1 page is better than having to deal with the 2nd scroll bar.
122 votesBased on feedback received, we believe the “window within a window” issue has been resolved. We invite you to add any additional enhancements to the gradebook as additional Ideas.

Automated GradeBook
Set up school and district gradebook options to automatically create one gradebook per section for appropriately flagged teachers (TCH or MST). Manage adding and dropping of students based on this flag.
115 votesOn the 8/3/16 version of Web we released a Teacher Gradebook option to automatically add/drop students to gradebooks based on class changes. Teacher’s also have the ability to Mass Add Gradebooks that will allow them to quickly create gradebooks for all their sections.

Add Student Overall Grade to Scores by Assignment

Allow teachers to exclude individual assignments from being considered in the 'Drop Lowest Score' rule
One possible scenario includes dropping the lowest test score before the final, WITHOUT dropping the final.

Google Classroom/Aeries - Allow sync for ALL assignments even if "Is Grading Complete?" box is checked
When using Google Classroom, if a student completes a missing assignment, it will not import to Aeries if the "Is Grading Complete?" box is checked. But if we do not check that box, then the overall grade is not calculated properly (the missing assignment does not count as a zero as it should - a student with many missing assignments will look like they are getting a much higher grade). It would be VERY helpful to have the Google Classroom and Aeries sync update scores without having to uncheck and recheck the "Is Grading Complete?" box all the time. Please…

Highlight the entire student line when entering scores
It would be helpful if the student's entire line - from the current assignment to the student information - was highlighted when a score is entered (as the old gradebook was)

Entering grade/score for last student on class roster - doesn't take!
When entering a grade for the last student on my roster, the student's score does not post unless I click on the student above. Can this be fixed?

Allow assignments to be imported from Google Classroom.
Currently you can import grades from google classroom, but I have to recreate the assignments before I can import the grades.
It would be great if I could import the assignment (and the grades) in one step.
21 votesHello, the idea (or bug) has been completed in the 05/21/2020 update. Here are the Revision Notes:

Gradebook Terms (Fall, Spring, etc.)
Allow for teachers to set up start and end dates for terms within a gradebook. This would then translate to the parents by grouping assignments into the corresponding term based on the assignment's due date. This would also generate a final mark for each term in a gradebook. Trimesters should be supported as well.
16 votesThis feature was released on 2/27/2015.

Bring back the grade categories on the assignment menu and category % on student grade page
It is now harder to see how many assignments are given in each category. It would also be great to see grade percentages by category for each student on their individual grade sheet. (These both used to be features of Aeries, but now have gone away). These features help instructors communicate skill progress or need for remediation with students and families.
12 votesOn the 12/11/2015 version of Aeries a gradebook option found under the Options area was added of “Group Assignments menu by category”. When this option is selected for a gradebook the assignment menu will be grouped by category.
-
Display the students total points earned and total points possible on the class page
On the class page, next to the student's percentage and letter grade, also display how many points the student earned out of the total possible points. There are many teachers who do not use weighted grades.

-
Add forward and backward buttons to the Students page to quickly move between students.
This would be a quicker way to navigate between students.
