Add a code for missing assignments in gradebook
In the Gradebook, when similar to how there is NA = Not applicable and TX = Teacher Excused, adding another code such as M or MI so that I can manually mark an assignment as missing would be really helpful.
This is particularly true with the new "Import assignments from google button" which will not import scores for assignments that are marked finished.
Currently the teacher must grade everything first then select “is grading complete?" to mark assignments as missing.
Hello, this idea has been completed in the 10/01/2021 update. Here are the Revision Notes: https://support.aeries.com/support/discussions/topics/14000018624

Can we now customize codes? I really need the Mi code for Missing Assignments.

For OneRoster Grade Passback, if "MI" was defined as a Custom Mark in Aeries, which is the feature we are building, this should work. You would also need to make sure that marks used in the LMS match the marks defined in Aeries.

Hi Kevin, would this scope of work allow OneRoster grade passback to send an "MI" or something similar to the Aeries gradebook? This would be very useful for districts that use grade pass back from an LMS.

If you enter a zero for an assignment in Aeries, it does NOT show up as a missing assignment when students/parents click the "helpful" show missing assignment checkbox. Students/Parents have generally believed their students have no missing work since no missing work populates, even with 100 zeros entered. This would help with the Google and Aeries integration as well since many teachers input zeros in Google Classroom when they are missing work.

This would be very useful with Grade Passback if OneRoster supported "M" for missing
