  1. remember what grade I teach when I add standards to assignments

When I add an assignment, there are so many dropdowns and repetitive things, it takes more time than it should. I would like to see a streamline change on the 'add standard' page that remembers what grade I teach so I don't have to tell it each time.

  2. Cautionary Ding

Please add a cautionary "ding" or some such visual or auditory prompt if a teacher manually enters a grade lower than a 50% or higher than a 100%. Allow teacher to either accept the "weird" grade or override the mistake. Example: I have accidentally entered grades of "1" when it should have been "100", etc.

  3. Allowing teachers to set the landing page.

This setting was available in an earlier version. It would save having to click through screens to get to the most frequently used page upon launching the program.

  4. flip between "attendance" and "attendance by photo"

When I change from attendance to attendance by photo, options that provide different information, I'd like to stay with the same period/class.

  6. Display both points and percentage in Scores by Class for every grade entered

It is helpful when showing students their grades to have percentages, not just meaningless points on that screen. Also, you used to be able to input a percent and get the points automatically (because both were displayed). Now if you want to give a student an 85% you need to use a separate calculator to enter it as points.

  8. Flag Students in Programs

I would like the ability to flag students as RSP, ESL or GATE.
    Visible when entering grades.

Would be nice to be able to SORT by this, or make a report printing out JUST RSP student's grades, or just ESL students.

RSP & ESL teachers supporting at risk kids - they have access to their grades, but need to look up each kid individually. As a General Ed teacher, I would like to be able to print off their grades, give it to the RSP teacher and they know everything they need to know.

  9. When running a report, allow an option for using color for missing assignments

The reports are only in black and white. Allow the option to have the missing assignments highlighted red when you print them out. This is so that the students can easily find their missing assignments on a report.

  10. Gradebook Report content should match the current view of assignments and students

Currently, when a teacher prints a gradebook report, they have to re-select all the filters for the reports. When a filter has been applied in the Gradebook, it should automatically flow to the reports.

  12. Adding Assignments - Allow for a Gradebook to default to a Standard

I have a Classwork Gradebook for work completion. The standard attached to the assignments is always the same. It would be faster if I didn't have to add the standard every time - if there was a option for it to be automatically defaulted to that standard every time.

  13. Cumulative requests by student

Add a tab that would allow us to log records requests under each individual student - not in one large file for the whole school. It is easier to locate and track.

  15. Allow all attendance types at all school types

Our K8s need to be able to support both Daily and Period attendance, and switch between the attendance types to allow the schools to be a single school

  16. Rule to allow the maximum score between two categories

We have a few teachers that would like to be able to define a rule to only count the maximum score out of several categories.

So the simplified statement of the rule would be "Count the maximum score between "Quizes," "Tests," and "Exams" for all three categories.

  17. Add shortcut key for new assignments

When in Class View, add something like a Cntl-N to open a New Assignment dialogue. The mouse shift - click -mouse shift - click is very time consuming for something that is extremely common.

  19. Link the gradebook to the Haiku gradebook

Students in our district like the fact that Haiku makes their grades available to them, but teachers have to copy over the grades manually. Make an auto link that gets the grades and assignments copied from Haiku to Aeries on demand.
