UPDATE: As of 2/11/2024 the CRDC Extract process has been updated to meet the requirements for the 2021-2022 CRDC Data Collection.  See the Revision notes dated 2/11/2024 for a more thorough explanation of all the changes. Please be sure you are updated to the latest version of Aeries to access these changes.

NOTE: There are 2 sections where the data is not quite extracting properly, so we are suppressing this data from the extract at this time.

DISC: Student Discipline (Corporal Punishment, Expulsion, Suspension)

    • DISC-27: School Days Missed Due to Out-of-School Suspension

    OFFN: Offenses

    • OFFN-1: Offenses – Number of Incidents

We will immediately be adjusting the extract further to include these sections, and that work remains our highest priority. However we wanted our Customers to know about the work-around for these sections, if needed:

    • The data for these sections do appear correctly on the Results screen in Aeries. If desired,…

  4. LTEL Import Process Changes

Due to the new file that the State is providing the LTEL data to districts, the current process in Aeries needs to be adjusted. Here are the changes that need to be made in Aeries:
    LTEL Import:
--Allow processing of a CSV file
--Ignore text qualified characters in the file like commas
--Modify the Aeries CALPADS Extracts, LTEL Import page

A work-around is detailed in the Known Issue post: https://support.aeries.com/support/discussions/topics/14000019557

    Completed  ·  Kathy Kelly responded

    Hello,

This issue has been resolved in the 11/17/2022 update.  Here are the Revision Notes:

The LTEL Import now handles the new LTEL file format and comma-delimited files. The load and process buttons for the LTEL state file were removed as they are no longer needed. Also the process now handles special characters in the file.  See CALPADS Extracts - LTEL Import Tab

  5. Early Childhood Development Setup QRIS Codes

  7. Add a Delete option to the CERS extract page

There is currently nowhere to delete a Profile from the CERS extract page. Request to add a delete option to the CERS extract page so we may delete Profiles we no longer need or were added in error.

  8. AP Student Data file for Schools and Districts 2022 Layout Format

The AP Student Data file for Schools and Districts 2022 Layout Format has recently been posted to the College Board public site. It appears that the changes made to the file layout will have no impact on the Import Test Results process at this time. The existing AP Test Results - SY:2016/17 - 2020/21 file layout can be used to import the current data and the new data after July 2022. When you receive your AP student results files (downloads on or after 7/27/2022), if you wish to assist us in confirming this, please contact us at support@aeries.com and we…

  9. Cal Grant - Add option to print Legal or Preferred Student Name

For our students who have legal name hidden, the Cal Grant GPA Export run from Aeries is only showing preferred name which does not not matching the Cal grant application (legal name) and therefore those students are not considered for or eligible for financial aid. Please add an option on what name to print.

Hello, a fix for this issue was released on 1/11/2024. Here are the revision notes:

School Info > Imports and Exports > Cal Grant GPA Export - The Print Student Legal Name option was added allowing users with permission to the Legal Student Information table (LSI) to include the legal name and gender in the extract file, and to print the legal name in the GPA Listing report, if populated. Otherwise the preferred name and gender are extracted. Gender is no longer included in the report.

  10. UC ECL - TES Extract Export Blank Rather Than all 0 in Student Transcript Worksheet - CDS Code Column

Report a blank (no value) rather than all 0's in the CDS column on the Student Transcript worksheet when there is no CDS code to report.

  11. Weekly Instructional Minutes - Allow Long-Term Subs to certify

Long-Term subs need the ability to certify the Weekly Instructional Minutes page since they are the ones instructing students at this time and tracking the participation in Attendance.

Hello, the idea (or bug) has been completed in the 02/12/21 update. Here are the Revision Notes:
    Weekly Instructional Minutes – *
The page now allows all associated teachers who could normally submit attendance to certify a class. *
The staff dropdown was updated to only include teachers.

  12. Add option for Inactive teachers in Weekly Instructional Minutes

I know this was done by design because districts specifically requested that inactive teachers be suppressed from the drop-down lists, but this is affecting teachers that left mid-year now too! So now we can't audit the minutes certifications for any teacher that left mid-year. This is an audit issue! We need to access inactive teachers, so can it please be added as an option we can check on the Weekly Instructional Minutes page.

  13. Update State Seal of Biliteracy Calculations for 2020-21

SB 820 recently amended EC Section 51451(d) to state, "…For pupils who are on track to graduate in 2021 and were unable to take the assessment identified in paragraph (2) of subdivision (a), the Superintendent may waive the requirement to pass that assessment." As a result, the CAASPP ELA requirement has been waived for the 2020-21 school year. Here is CDE's updated FAQ with details: https://www.cde.ca.gov/sp/el/er/ssbfaq.asp

Please update the State Seal of Biliteracy processing to either exclude the CAASPP requirement for 2020-21, or make the CAASPP requirement optional, with direction to LEAs to mark it optional for this year's processing.

Hello, this Idea has been completed in the 02/25/2021 update. Here are the Revision Notes:

    https://support.aeries.com/support/discussions/topics/14000017872

State Seal of Biliteracy – The page now conforms to specific changes for the 2020-21 school year.
