  1. Duo Authentication: Changes to root certificate authority on 2/2/26

    Aeries is investigating and plans to incorporate any changes needed in the Aeries product to accommodate the upcoming changes Duo has announced for its root certificate authority expiration. We will update this idea as needed once the entire scope of the needed changes are determined.

    Hello, this work item has been completed and was released on 01/27/26. Here are the relevant revision notes:

    • Duo Security Certificate Update: To ensure uninterrupted authentication for districts using Duo, Aeries has updated its Duo integration to comply with Duo’s upcoming Certificate Authority (CA) bundle expiration on February 2, 2026. With this update:
    • Aeries is fully aligned with Duo’s new certificate requirements.
    • No action is needed from customers for Aeries specifically.
    • This fix is included ahead of Duo’s planned change to ensure a seamless experience for all users.

  2. Security pages - sticky headers when you scroll

    Please make the security pages have the top row headers (with read, update, insert, delete, etc.) frozen/sticky when you scroll down so you know which one to check as you are going down.

  3. Allow push and pull setup tables to more than just admins

    I believe we should be able to delegate security to roles such as these. We should have to have to have our system administrator do these types of things. The system administrator controls security.

  4. Users (Security) - Add User Type Column to Display on Search

    Please add another column - type (teacher, user, admin) to the users page along with the ability to sort or filter.

    Hello, this idea has been completed in the 08/31/2021 update. Here are the Revision Notes:
    Security – The User Type column has been added when searching or listing users on the Security pages. Also, when viewing lists of users, columns can now be sorted and filtered on.

  5. Security pages - Add option to hide disabled accounts

    On Security pages add an option to hide accounts with a status of Disabled.

    Allow districts to define a list of banned passwords that should never be allowed in their district.
