There are some assignments or times when I don't want it visible to parents, but it is not easy to see which ones are and which are not.
So a code in the scores by class view or in the manage assignment section (like you have a place to show if grading completed or not.10 votes -
Option to alphabetize Gradebook Rosters by First Name
Teams doesn't alphabetize by last name, so it would be nice to have the option to customize my class or gradebook rosters by first or last name, so that it matches with Teams.

Not Allow Linking of Gradebooks after creating Categories
Far too many teachers asking me to fix their Gradebooks when they have linked AFTER creating categories and assignments. When linking gradebooks, they currently link via an internal category ID, so if the gradebook is mistakenly linked, a Homework category of one gradebook could be mistakenly linked to a Classwork category of another. This shouldn't even be allowable if it creates issues.

Add a Save button to the Grades page
Teachers have reported entering grades, only to return the next day to find that the grades have not saved. They have requested a manual Save button so that they don't have to rely on just the auto-save.

Allow the importing of Google Classroom assignments after the close of a term.
Allow the importing of Google Classroom assignments after the close of a term. Grading of students is rarely completed before the grading term is over. Most have at least a week to complete the grading.

Allow teachers to prevent their Google Classroom assignments and scores from being included in the nightly import sync
As of 08/28/2020 districts may automatically sync all Google Classroom assignments and scores, or none with the nightly sync. It would be very helpful if a teacher could "opt-out" of this nightly sync, or "opt-in" if the nightly sync not enabled. Would be perfect to be do-able on a per-gradebook basis.

"Extra Credit" Gradebook Assignment Issue
Gradebook Assignments: Prevent anything but numeric values to be entered as a score if the assignment is an "Extra Credit" assignment. Only allow teacher to enter numeric values and not % values.
When % values are entered for an "Extra Credit" assignment and then the assignment is changed to a regular assignment with a Max score, the score is not adjusting correctly.

Gradebook Assignment Extra Credit option
When gradebook assignments are designated to have 0 points, please disable extra credit as the default when 0 points are assigned. Students are getting confused thinking an assignment is zero points, and it's confusing teachers as well.

I have students who do not go by the name in Aries, but I am not aware of how or if I can have the seating chart print a student Alias.

If Extra Credit is the only assignment in the gradebook, add a warning
When teacher creates a gradebook assignment as extra credit, if it's the very first assignment in the gradebook, it shows 0% as the student's current grade because mathematically you cannot divide by 0 without 1 additional assignment. Please add a warning to the teacher for this scenario so they know to be aware.

Lock Entered Gradebook Grades
Allow teachers to lock scores in to avoid accidentally erasing an older score. It's way too easy to lose grades right now.

Provide a District Option to Hide the "Delete" button on the Manage Students page from teachers
Teachers are now able to delete a student from their gradebook, which causes all of that student's grades, attendance, etc. to be deleted. In Texas, we prefer to have the option to turn that functionality off and just have the system add/drop students as needed.

As an Independent Study teacher it would be AMAZING if we could share grade books with multiple teachers
For each grade book there could be multiple teachers assigned to it.
