Locking scores, or giving an alert when about to overwrite a score
I have accidentally overwritten scores. It would be good if there was an alert when you are about to overwrite a score in case you really don't want to.
49 votesWe’re considering some kind of log history. You would easily be able to see the scores you changed, and it would have an “undo” button next to that score in case you accidentally overwrote a score

Allow logins that can see a select group of teacher's assignments; populate in the calendar on the splash screen
Also, case managers have a heck of a time trying to keep track of their caseloads' workload. It would be nice if caseload managers could select from a list of teachers and have a calendar populated of assignments/ future assignments.

Display both points and percentage in Scores by Class for every grade entered
It is helpful when showing students their grades to have percentages, not just meaningless points on that screen. Also, you used to be able to input a percent and get the points automatically (because both were displayed). Now if you want to give a student an 85% you need to use a separate calculator to enter it as points.

Flag Students in Programs
I would like the ability to flag students as RSP, ESL or GATE.
Visible when entering grades.
Would be nice to be able to SORT by this, or make a report printing out JUST RSP student's grades, or just ESL students.RSP & ESL teachers supporting at risk kids - they have access to their grades, but need to look up each kid individually. As a General Ed teacher, I would like to be able to print off their grades, give it to the RSP teacher and they know everything they need to know.

Gradebook Font Size Choices
Allow teachers to choose between a pre-configured set of font sizes for the gradebook. It would behave similar to picking sizes like Normal, Large, Really Large

Create a report similar to assignments by student, however include the STATUS field to see when work is late, incomplete, etc.

Student Gradebook Search Option with link to gradebook
There needs to be a way to search students by name in the gradebook to figure out which gradebook(period) they are in. Currently you have to go to the main menu to look up period and then go to gradebooks and select the class.

Streamline Mass Assign Entry
Reconfigure the Mass Assign functions so that the user doesn't have to go through multiple steps (multiple pull-downs). It was better when it was a function at the bottom of the Enter Grades by Assignment screen.

Have the option to print the assignment names on the same page as the scores on the gradebook summary report
Currently the assignment names print on a separate page

On the Scores by Class view, have the ability to filter for only students who are missing assignments
Currently the Student view has a check box to only show only missing assignments. Add the same functionality to the scores by class page could be useful.

Allow teachers to print attendance seating charts for a future date and still have the attendance options show up.
I am trying on a Friday to print attendance sheets for my sub for an absence on Monday. I can print up class lists, but I can't print up anything that shows the attendance options for the sub to easily mark. This is also difficult because we have students changing classes Monday and I can't get an attendance sheet Friday to show my new classes on Monday.

Putting back the grid format (rows and columns) in the Gradebook Summary, instead of only shaded rows.
The older version of Aeries allowed for the Gradebook Summary to be printed in a uniform grid, with point values and assignment titles either at the bottom of the page or a separate page. The new version is only alternating shaded rows. The original version was much more user-friendly, especially with regard to student teaching assistants.

Gradebook - Refresh Student Summary Information
Refresh the view of the Student Summary immediately when a new score is entered, currently teacher needs to refresh the screen to see the changes.
This is specific to the Scores by Class page, as seen in the screenshot below.

iPad Focused Data Entry
The current iPad data entry for the gradebook is sufficient, but could be slightly improved. We are considering creating an iPad focused data entry dialog that would remove the need for the keyboard for the iPad. This screen would have it's own number pad or selector depending on what kind of field you're currently editing. It would have quick navigation for getting to the next student or assignment.

Provide a user option for which Date Completed to use when entering Scores: Due Date, Today, or Other
When entering students scores for an assignment the Date Completed defaults to the due date. This of course is only a problem when students are submitting work late. It would be nice if it would either default to today's date or have an option either in the gradebook set-up or when entering scores fields.

Gradebook Graph Dashboard
We'd like to make a really amazing dashboard for each gradebook. Take a look at the examples posted in the comment and see what our inspiration is.
