Seconded. This is broader than just staff who are assigned to the district as their primary location. Our observation is that only staff who are linked to an active TCH record are included on the extract.
It would be incredibly helpful if this feature also included other staff, which ASM would assign the Staff role. When I initially setup the ASM import I was able to see a preview of the data that it saw in the Aeries extract, and it looked something like this:
Students (4,800)
Staff (0)
Instructors (250)
Classes (600)
This leads me to believe that Apple can distinguish between teachers and non-teaching staff on the extract and import them appropriately. Can this export feature in Aeries be updated to include users from the staff table in Aeries as staff on the Apple School Manager extract? That way we can use this feature to create accounts for other staff who have a need to use Apple devices, such as specialized SPED staff (SLPs, Psychs, etc), staff in specialized programs like afterschool and State Preschool, administrators, etc.
