Option to remove the "add student" option to Student Portal Accounts
Currently, students can "Add New Student" to their Student Portal Accounts. There is no reason for this option when we're mass creating accounts and it doesn't make sense why they would ever allow students to add students to their own portal accounts.

Manage Parent/Student Accounts - add option to hide inactive students and schools
On the Manage Parent/Student Accounts page, add an option to hide Inactive students and Hide Inactive schools. It would be nice to only filter the list to just active students at active schools to find their account if needed.
37 votesHello, this work item has been completed and was released on 9/15/26. Here are the relevant revision notes:
School Info:
- Configurations > District Settings: Aeries now includes a new district-wide option to hide inactive schools. When enabled, students enrolled at inactive schools are filtered out of the Manage Parent/Student Accounts page and the Aeries Portal. See District Settings (District Rules).
- Portal Management > Manage Parent/Student Accounts: These pages now honor the existing Parent Portal setting (Portal Options, Miscellaneous tab) that hides students with inactive status codes. When that setting is configured, inactive students are filtered from both the Manage Parent/Student Accounts page and the Aeries Portal. See Managing Parent/Student Portal Accounts.

Classes Section of the Parent Portal should display the Gradebook name
The Classes section on the new Parent Portal student dashboard, is displaying the Course name instead of gradebook name in an elementary with MST school. The Class Summary is displaying both the Course and Gradebook name.

New Parent Portal - Have messages display at the top of the page for parents and students
New Parent Portal - Have messages display at the top of the page for parents and students. The message widget can be moved to the top by the logged in parent or student but we need a school or district option to set the widget locations for all parents and students.

Military Survey Audit – A set of new options for eligibility end date was added to allow users to pick the date to close the current special programs related to the military survey.

Mobile Parent Portal Attendance Page
There is currently no Attendance Key. Also, "Present" code is in red and parents are confused by the color. They automatically assume is Absent. Perhaps changing it to green?

The parents will be able to pick up this new feature to the Mobile Portal Attendance page by updating their Mobile Portal App from either the AppStore or the PlayStore. Here is the revision note: The Attendance screen now displays non-absences in green.

This idea was completed with the 7/2/2020 update to Aeries with the following revision note:
Portal Documents – The document tab was requiring parents to open at least one document in order to continue even if documents were not flagged as “required”, fixed.
