Update USPS API for Address Look-Up Process
Enhance address verification within Aeries to ensure the USPS Lookup Tool accesses the correct USPS API.

- 3rd Party System Connections: Enabling USPS Address Verification will now require a Client ID and Secret Key in order to use the Zip Lookup tool. See 3rd Party System Connections
- Student Data > Demographics > Change Address button > Address Lookup Tool: Changes to the USPS API caused the Address Lookup Tool to route incorrectly, preventing address validation. The Lookup Tool now connects to the updated USPS API endpoint, restoring expected functionality. See USPS Zip Code Lookup

3 votesHello, I wanted to let you know that work on this item was completed and it was released to customers on 1/14/2025. Here are the relevant revision notes:
School Info > Imports and Exports > Escape HR Custom Import - Logging was added to the process in order to allow identification of issues in the import process. The logging includes the scheduled tasks initiation time, task execution steps, the success or failure of each step with detailed error messages for failures, permissions or access issues encountered, network connectivity status during execution, and any anomalies detected. Financials - All references to the Target Date field FTS.TD were removed, as this date was removed from Livingtree. This change solves a sync issue. See Introduction to Aeries Financials documentation.

Allow export of Ed-Fi sync logs
In the Ed-Fi System Initialization and Testing, users have the option to go through endpoint-by-endpoint and sync Aeries records with the Ed-Fi ODS. The resulting logs are often thousands of records long, and the Aeries UI has no way of allowing export of these logs: They cannot be copied or downloaded in any form. The only way I have found to parse them is to download the html of the page and run custom scripts to discard the HTML encoding and compile the error logs. This is frustrating and time-consuming.

Ed-Fi Synchronization: When downloading the transaction results for a sync job with a large number of transactions, a browser console error could occur, and no Excel file would be generated. Now, the Excel file generation is handled by the Aeries Reporting Service and supports large data sets.

Update API V5 Parentsquare endpoint to not include the TCH table when matching ID to UGN.SID when school is Flex or Section Staff
Adjust the API Staff endpoint for Parentsquare to not look at the TCH table for schools that are Flex or Section Staff only. The ID should pull from the Section Staff (SSE) and/or Staff (STF) tables and matched to the UGN.SID.

- Aeries API - In certain cases at Section Staff schools, the Staff endpoint of the Aeries API (version 5) referenced Teacher table records (TCH) when determining staff school access, fixed. The endpoint now references Staff (STF) table records. See Aeries Communications - ParentSquare - Aeries Mapping.
