Combine Narrative Grades and Numeric Grades on the same assignment
As a teacher, I want to be able to enter a mark like "I" for incomplete and have that calculate as say 50% of the assignment, but at the same time enter normal point values for other students.
Hello! Functionality for Custom Mark use in the Gradebook was released in the 4/30/2021 version of Aeries!

This feature will allow us to put in both letters (narrative grade) and numbers (point system or percentage) for our gradebook.Teachers should be able to put in a narrative grade for students who are in progress (IP), or incomplete (I), or low score (L) that automatically puts in a percentage of the final grade of our choosing (determined by the set-up process that is allocated). For example, Jonny B. Good didn't complete all his work, therefore I can type in I for incomplete, and it automatically calculate his grade to 50% of whatever the total points/score is for that assignment. Or if Susie Q. scores far below a 50%, maybe she got 5% on her test, I can type in L and it will automatically pull her up to 50% of the total score, but I will know that she score far below as that L will show up as her grade for that assessment/assignment. Etc.

YES! Or a point-based score. Narrative grades and numeric grades should be combined- most other LMS do this, why is this still not an active function!? I use a point-based system, but would like to put in a narrative grade for students who are in progress, or incomplete, or low score that automatically puts in a percentage of the final grade of my choosing (determine by the set-up process I allocate). Thank you.
