Allow the selectable option of teacher to be automatically notified via an email whenever a student adds or drops their class.
This would give teachers a heads-up and give them a little more prep time to incorporate these new students into the increasingly common group work that is part of the CCSS with less down time.

When a student schedule changes generate a notification or email to inform teachers that a new student is added or dropped from their class. It is easy to miss when the only notification systems are in the gradebook.
