50% min.max should NOT apply to Missing Assignments!

I love the idea of allowing students to recieve a 50% in place of anything less on an assignment that they have scored poorly on; however, if they have not completed the assignment or it is missing, and a grade is NOT entered- this assignment should absolutely NOT be calculated as 50%. They didn't DO the assignment and this causes for students who have more missing assignments than finished assignments to have inflated grade that does not accurately reflect their actual progress in the class. Please fix.

Please don't change this. A 50% is still an F. You can put in a zero. Min/max gives the correct value to all grades. If an A is worth 10 points, a B worth 10 points, it makes no sense to have an F be worth more than 10 points. 50-59% is still failing.

Since you can select the percentage or choose to use this feature or not, I am unsure how this is relevant.

This is as simple as adding a button/option that says, "do not apply min/max scale to missing assignments" - done.
