  1. Data Validation - option to allow visibility of District scoped validations for the associated school users

    We have a few validations that despite being tuned to work decently well when run for a single school, still require a fair amount of complexity, which would be more effectively implemented as a single execution for the whole set of affected schools rather than repetitively performing the logic per school (we have 120+ ‘schools’).

    Having validations that are scoped to the District can be useful and having the ability to use the SchoolCode column to associate to specific schools is great!

  2. Allow Assignments imported into Gradebook to default certain options as unselected

    Allow assignments imported from Google to default the options Visible to Portal and Score Visible to Portal as unchecked. Once the teacher selects Grading Complete then the assignment can become visible to Portal and Score Visible to Portal.

  3. Emergency Card Option to Print Custom Text

    In the parent data confirmation you can add custom text to your report cards. If a parent doesn't have a printer then we have to print the emergency card for the parent and there is no way to add that custom text. I would like the option to be able to add the custom text to the Emergency Cards that are printed from the admin portal and then choose whether you want it printed or not.

  4. Student Groups in District to honor User School Permissions

    Allow Student Groups created in the District to honor user school permissions. This will allow creating a district wide group assigning multiple users to that group without creating multiple groups.
    Example, create district wide pre-enrolled group, or district wide analytics group for D/F, district wide Chronically absent analytics group.

  7. Allow parents to upload student photos

    Allow for the ability for parents to upload a student picture. This is useful for new incoming 9th graders since there won't be a picture day this year. There are alternatives, like creating a student document and requesting it that way, but there isn't a way to restrict file size/type/etc. A feature could be added that would allow for auto-resizing etc. that would be a benefit to a lot of districts this coming year.

  8. Create Substitute Teacher Accounts From API

    It would be useful to use the API to automatically create substitute teacher accounts based on the data in our substitute system. We could then email the sub their login credentials. This would greatly support subs during distance learning.

  9. Portal Document Upload and Student Pictures

    Due to COVID-19 pandemic state restrictions, our district will not be operating on a normal basis at the beginning of our school year. Due to this, we were wondering if there was a way to include student pictures in the Portal Documents Request function or if you have a better suggestion as to how we can have parents submit their child(ren)'s picture to be linked in their Aeries student record.

  10. Parent Portal - Email Reconfirmation Option

    Add in a way to force re-verification of parent portal username / email accounts after a set time.

    Issue: Parents are not updating their Parent-Portal email address ( username ). Since we use this email for Teacher communication through Aeries, this causes both bounce-backs and communication problems.

    -- Yearly / Set date of execution.
    -- Parent would get an email with a single link ( no VPC needed again ) to "re-verify" their email.
    -- If the parent didn't verify, parent portal would 'lock' for access and prompt options:

  12. Automatically Remove Google Classroom link from sections removed from a Gradebook.

    For gradebooks that are linked to Google Classroom, the Google Classroom link is not automatically removed from the class section when the gradebook is deleted or the section is removed from a gradebook. It would be awesome if this were automatic, or a message box popped up asking if they want to remove the link from the section.

  13. Teacher Portal - Add Multiple "Meeting" Links to Classes

    Add multiple "Meeting" links to to Aeries Teacher Portal in their Classes. With multiple cohorts, it requires different meeting times and links and it would be beneficial to have two more more links available to post.

  14. Remove Leave Dates when Re-enrolling Students

    From trainers: When a student is being re-enrolled and copied from the Inactive School, clear the Leave Date values (STU.LD, STU.SWR, STU.SLD, STU.SNS, STU.EOY, STU.ENS, STU.HSG, STU.DG) from the inactive record during the copy over process.

  15. On the School Name dropdown when in Aeries and also when logging into Aeries, can the sort be by School number instead of alpha

    I would like the option to choose how the school dropdown list sorts. It currently sorts alpha by school name and I would love the option to change it to sort by school number instead.

  16. Attendance Management - Does Not Show Dashes Like on Student Attendance

    On the student Attendance page, -'s (dashes) are displayed based on CAR to denote when the student is supposed to be in class that day. We use a block schedule and have students with 6, 7, or 8 periods. Without the -'s our attendance staff is having a hard time determining if the All Day code should be marked.

  17. Mass Printing of ReAdmit Slips from the Mass Add tab in Attendance Management

    When using the Mass Add Tab in Attendance Management - if there's a ReAdmit Slip, they need to be printed individually. Recommend adding a Print All option so the user can mass print the ReAdmit Slips for all students.

  18. Contacts - Add Volunteer Info

    Volunteer data is becoming more critical to collect. We are excited to see TB/TB Expiration and Fingerprints/FP Expiration fields now in the Contacts screen.

    Given this lead...we have taken it a step further to use the User Fields to expand collecting information to include identifying contact as a volunteer, DMV, Auto Insurance, Field Trip Orientation, Vehicle Registration & Driver's Licence data.

    We would appreciate having date field to capture the expiration dates for Auto Insurance, Vehicle Registration & Drivers Licence fields.

  19. Teacher Resource Center - Display Elementary and Secondary Information based on School Type

    When clicking on the information widget in gradebook an elementary teacher is taken to documentation links for the secondary gradebook. This is confusing for them since they use standards based grades and their gradebooks are set up differently. Documentation should only be available for the appropriate grade level/type of database.

    The same fix needs to be applied to the ? widget. Elementary teachers should only see documentation for Standards Based Grades and Elementary Gradebooks.
