  1. Change CASEMIS import process to use SPED and SSRV ODS extracts from CALPADS

    Since Special Education information is synched nightly to CALPADS directly from the SpEd systems, it would be great if the two ODS extracts for SpEd information (SPED & SSRV) could use the CASEMIS import process to update the CSE and CSV tables. It could also update the new SWD Indicator to keep it reconciled with CALPADS.

  2. Adjust Data Confirmation to support separate Education Levels for Parents/Guardians

    Adjustments needed because of changes CALPADS is making for Parent/Guardian information on the SINF file: Data is now being collected separately for Guardian 1 and Guardian 2: First Name, Last Name, Education Level.

    Move any reference to Highest Parent Ed Level into section collecting Contact Info for Parent/Guardian. Use new field on Contacts to hold this information (CON.ELV) - same codes as old STU.PED field and allow parents to enter/update data as part of DC process.

  3. Adjust CALPADS SINF extract to support separate Education Levels for Parents/Guardians

    Adjustments needed because of changes CALPADS is making for Parent/Guardian information on the SINF file: Data is now being collected separately for Guardian 1 and Guardian 2: First Name, Last Name, Education Level.

    Need to move extract from taking data from Parent/Guardian field (STU.PG) and now take it from the Contact table.

  4. Adjust Online Enrollment to support separate Education Levels for Parents/Guardians

    Adjustments needed because of changes CALPADS is making for Parent/Guardian information on the SINF file: Data is now being collected separately for Guardian 1 and Guardian 2: First Name, Last Name, Education Level.

    Move current question regarding Parent Ed Level into section collecting Contact Info for Parent/Guardian. Use new field on Contacts to hold this information (CON.ELV) - same codes as old STU.PED field

  5. Staff Audit Report

    To help with Fall 2 reporting, it would be helpful if we had a Staff Audit report in Aeries that HR staff at districts could run to check for errors in staff and teacher records. If it could look for Job Assignments that show as teachers and then look for students or sections assigned to that teacher. If it could look for non-classroom based job assignment and then make sure there are no kids or sections assigned to that person. Also if it could look for Staff records that have missing required CALPADS information such as SEID, FTE, End dates…

    Please add CA State Code Highlighting to the Internships page, based on the Work-Based Learning Type selected so customers can see what fields are required when doing data entry.

  8. Update STU Code Descriptions to align with CALPADS

    The code descriptions for STU.SWR & STU.EOY need to be updated for the following codes: E450, E400, E140. The descriptions currently do not match the CALPADS definitions. Therefore we continue to have the clerks code elementary students with the 450 code, and the others are also used for the incorrect age of the student.

    We have updated our code table for ATT.RS to reflect the correct descriptions, but are unable to update the codes in STU.

  9. Label Student Name fields as Preferred

    Please consider labeling the Lane Name and First Name fields on the demographics page with "Preferred" so it is clear for everyone. Our teachers and staff find it confusing between legal names, preferred names and legal names.

  10. CALPADS-N470-NoShow records should populate day before enrollment date, NOT day before school starts

    When I extract an SENR file - Extract all data this Year, students who have an SSID number AND are N470 extract in the file. When they are extracted Aeries changes their SWR/Leave date to one day prior to the first day of school according to the school calendar. However, when Aeries changes the enrollment date the SPED record no longer aligns with the enrollment date and it causes a problem every time.

    I will resolve this on my end by removing the SSID number for the student. This will prevent the record from being extracted.

  11. Adjust Socio-Economic Disadvantaged Status Calculation

    Adjustments needed because of changes CALPADS is making for Parent/Guardian information on the SINF file. Education Level is now being collected separately for Guardian 1 and Guardian 2, Currently one method the student meets the definition is if the highest education level in STU.PED is Not A High School Graduate.

  12. Language Assessment - Add Change Button for Language Fields (STU)

    The Language Assessment Page allows a user to change the student's Reporting Language and Language Fluency by simply choosing an option from the list. This makes it too easy to make accidental changes of Student's Reporting Language and Language Fluency.

    In most other screens a user must enter change mode by pressing the Change button, and then commit the changes by clicking Update. The user is not prompted or warned that this will change the value.

  13. Update State Seal of Biliteracy Calculations for 2020-21

    SB 820 recently amended EC Section 51451(d) to state, "…For pupils who are on track to graduate in 2021 and were unable to take the assessment identified in paragraph (2) of subdivision (a), the Superintendent may waive the requirement to pass that assessment." As a result, the CAASPP ELA requirement has been waived for the 2020-21 school year. Here is CDE's updated FAQ with details: https://www.cde.ca.gov/sp/el/er/ssbfaq.asp

    Please update the State Seal of Biliteracy processing to either exclude the CAASPP requirement for 2020-21, or make the CAASPP requirement optional, with direction to LEAs to mark it optional for this year's processing.

  14. CALPADS SPRG Reconciliation needs to create Delete records

    Adjust the SPRG ODS Reconciliation process to create Delete records for programs that are in the CALPADS ODS but not in Aeries. Currently, the process only compares existing program records.

  15. LTEL Import Process page needs checkmarks to track progress

    Please add checkmarks and other messages so it is apparent what step(s) have been completed. The SELA Import Process under ODS Reconciliation has helpful checkmarks that clearly shows what step you are on in the entire process.

  17. Career Pathway Management - Need Sub-Pathway Codes

    For CTE pathways such as 111 - Design, Visual, and Media Arts, there are 4 different sub pathways that schools can have. But in the setup there is only code 111 not 111A, 111B, … So I can only setup one of my pathways at a time. Then I have to delete it and put in the courses for the next pathway, process the students, repeat... It would be nice if the sub-pathway codes were available for use so that they could all be setup at the same time and did not require me to re-set them up every year.…

  18. CALPADS - School Selection by User instead of District-Wide

    When you have an Aeries district with multiple CDS codes, there are multiple people running the CALPADS extracts. The "Save" button changes the default selection for everyone! Every time an extract is run it changes the default schools for everyone else, and our CALPADS administrator has to deal with errors when they accidently leave a school checked that isn't theirs in the first place.

  19. Staff - Filter Staff Job Assignment Based on Job Classification

    I would like to see on the Staff page that the Job assignments you chose filter out for the proper Non-Classroom Based Job Assignments that apply based on CALPADS CodeSets. We have districts that choose any non-classroom based job assignment and it may not apply to that job classification. For instance if a person chooses Teacher, they can chose ANY non-classroom based Job assignment (such as nurse). But the non-classroom based job assignment of a nurse is NOT valid for the Job classification of a teacher, according to the CALPADS CodeSets. It only applies to the Pupil Services Job Classification.
