New Parent Portal - Have messages display at the top of the page for parents and students. The message widget can be moved to the top by the logged in parent or student but we need a school or district option to set the widget locations for all parents and students.

Update State Seal of Biliteracy Calculations for 2020-21
SB 820 recently amended EC Section 51451(d) to state, "…For pupils who are on track to graduate in 2021 and were unable to take the assessment identified in paragraph (2) of subdivision (a), the Superintendent may waive the requirement to pass that assessment." As a result, the CAASPP ELA requirement has been waived for the 2020-21 school year. Here is CDE's updated FAQ with details: https://www.cde.ca.gov/sp/el/er/ssbfaq.asp
Please update the State Seal of Biliteracy processing to either exclude the CAASPP requirement for 2020-21, or make the CAASPP requirement optional, with direction to LEAs to mark it optional for this year's processing.

State Seal of Biliteracy – The page now conforms to specific changes for the 2020-21 school year. For this school year only, the CAASPP ELA options are disabled, and all students will default to Not Applicable for this requirement. Class Scheduling - Allow Alt Ed Scheduling for Specific Courses
Would like to see a solution for High Schools who offer online courses (i.e. Edgenuity, APEX) and or use placeholder courses. Currently, High Schools are unable to know the exact course that students are taking via Edgenuity program, which makes it highly problematic to schedule, figure out their graduation status, keep tabs on progress via grading, transcribing.
In looking at current Aeries features there are 2 current functions that get close to providing a solution. The first one is Alternative Ed. Scheduling, however I was told that this feature would not work in a regular comprehensive, as it would throw…

School Settings – A new option has been added to the Alt Ed Scheduling area to allow users to configure individual sections to be Flagged for Alt Ed Scheduling. Also, the language used to indicate the Alt Ed Scheduling option for a school has been updated to, “Use Alt Ed Scheduling For Entire School.”

Teacher Attendance - Back-posting attendance should not limit to the Bell Schedule
Please allow teachers to change previous days attendance regardless of Portal Options to limit attendance to before or after a period time. Time of day should only affect today's date.

Teacher Attendance: When time restrictions for taking attendance are enabled but either forward-posting or back-posting attendance is also enables, posting attendance on days other than the current day will now not enforce the time/bell schedule restrictions. -
Push and Pull Setup Tables - Add BSD and BST tables to Push Pull ability
The Push and Pull Setup Tables process does not include copying the related BSD and BST tables to copy the entire BEL Schedule setup, including the schedule times and Days linked to the calendar.

Student Immunization Status report always displays PK value for grade -1 in Select Grade dropdown
On the Student Immunization Status report page, the Select Grade dropdown always shows PK for grade -1. Please change the report to reflect what the school uses for grade -1 (for example, TK).

Immunizations page Records Presented dropdown should allow custom code table values
Allow users the ability to add codes to the Code Table on Immunizations (IMM) in the Records Presented fields. Currently, these codes are hard coded. The fields affected include: IMM.RTP, IMM.RTK, IMM.RT7, etc. Currently these are fixed codes.

Hearing
- The P/F field was renamed to Results P/F and is intended to record Pass or Fail results. Existing reports or queries may rely on this field to be accurate so additional codes values are not recommended.
- The Results P/F, Dr Refer, Follow Up, IMP Code, and Waiver fields were converted to drop-down fields that are populated with codes entered in the COD table. For Texas users, the fields are also populated with fixed codes that correspond to state reporting codes.

Dual Enrollment Summer Term Should Be Extracted to CalPads
Currently Dual Enrollment courses that count as High School Credits but are taken through local colleges over the summer are not extracted for reporting to CalPads so long as they are added as a Summer Term. The problem is that if they are entered as a Fall/Spring Term then the data is inaccurate in Aeries and also it confuses Parents/Students because on the Transcript it prints under the Fall/Spring Term.
There should be a way for Summer Term classes entered on the transcript that are specially marked as Dual Enrollment courses to be extracted to be uploaded to CalPads. These…

Summons call slips enhancements
Summons call slip enhancements - 1) Student name needs to be larger and bold. 2) Clerk is stating if they are filtering by period, teacher, section, etc for a group of students, the summons should have clearly visible the room number to where it should be delivered based on the filter. 3) They should also be sorted alpha by room number for the filter that was used.

Special Ed (CASEMIS) Import - Add Grad Plan Field
Please bring back the ability to import the Grad Plan (CSE.GP) in the CASEMIS Import process. It used to be available in the pre-2018 version. SEIS is able to add the field to the nightly import and it would be easier to have the data imported rather than someone maintaining the field by hand.

CALPADS Programs Reference by Student
The report has been modified to include an “As-of-Date” that defaults to the current date. Other options added are for printing only the Totals/Summary, and also to only include PGM records that have the school code (.PGM.SCL) set to zero. Additionally, there is now a district summary, by school, at the end of the report. -
Remove PGM.SR from Query
Program Services - PGM.SR field has been converted to the new PGS table so queries that contain PGM.SR may not be accurate. PGM.SR needs to be removed from Query to avoid confusion for users.

Teacher Portal Default View - Class Summary
The default sort order upon logging into the teacher portal doesn't match the programmed "Default" that is listed when the Reset to Default button is pressed. Therefore the user would have to manually set this order themselves to have the Class Summary at the top of the page.
2 votesHello, a fix for this issue was released on 08/13/24. Here are the relevant revision notes:
- Aeries Teacher Portal > Homepage - For teachers without permission to the User Account Options (UAO) table, the default display order of the widgets did not match the default order. Now the widgets are initially displayed in the default order, and can be reset to the default order anytime the teacher clicks Reset to Default in the Widget Settings menu. See Aeries Home.

We would like to know if the student IDs and DoB can be added to the pre-built Home Language Survey report, not a query, either by Aeries or by end users.
