District Attendance Letters - ability to sort printed letters
When we take large batches of letters to the post office, we need to have them sorted by zip code. If we are running letters for the entire district, we will need this sort option when printing letters. We also need the ability to sort printed letters by school. Currently a copy of the letter is supposed to go into a students file, so we need to be able to easily divide up the printed letters by school so that they can be sent out for filing. Option to Recalculate Attendance Letter Counters in STU
In addition to being able to "Zero Student Absence Letter Counters", I think it would be helpful to have a "Recalculate Student Absence Letter Counters" option.
The function would evaluate the LTL table for the current year records and re-calculate what the counter should be based on those records. I find the counters get out of synch often and it's not a case where we want to reset to 0, but reset to what they should be based on the LTL table.

Student Attendance Report - Make it a PDF - Currently is Quick Print only
The attendance report that is printed from the Student Attendance page is a Quick Print, and is not easily saved as a PDF. Would like to be able to electronically store and send attendance without having to print and scan. Making this a regular report that can go to PDF as a download option would be great.

Search by SSID on Attendance Management Page
On the Attendance Management page, there is no option to search for a student by their SSID.
Could this be added?

Absence Codes - Ability to Inactivate/Retire Codes
Because it is not recommended to delete codes for historical purposes, it would be great to have the ability to Inactivate/Retire Absence Codes. Especially with the current pandemic we may want to temporarily not use a code based on the type of learning occurring. It is easy to remove a code for teachers to access but office staff who have User accounts should have the ability to not see codes the district does not want them using. The Classroom Attendance pages needs to honor Inactive tags on Absence Codes.

Make the attendance FILL Periods field user specific
on the attendance page FILL PERIODS section it needs to be user specific not site specific. if one user has it set to fill all periods and another user sets it to NOT fill all periods it gets confusing between users and what they are doing with it automatically changing between them as a whole. Users don't realize and submit it as an issue.

Display attendance time on Attendance Submission Log report
The Attendance Submission log page shows the time attendance was taken, but the printable report only shows the date attendance was taken, not the time. Using Aeries query also displays the datetime fields as date only.

Placeholder image for photos
When a student photo does not exist, instead of the Seating Chart in the Attendance by Photo screen showing a broken image icon (because it is, imo, malformed HTML (a bug!)) load a static placeholder image.

Is invalid HTML, the source is not complete because it contains no actual data, eg an image of 0 length. Detect this state when building your base64 insert into the HTML and substitute in the placeholder when LEN = 0 for the data pulled from PIC.

Sections attendance consolidated into 1 button to click
I was told that with Flex Schools, "when multiple sections exist for each teacher and period, the "Attendance to be Taken (Marked as Complete) by Section" setting needs to be enabled so that each section is marked correctly in the CAS table since the attendance log (CAS) is stored by Section number."
This means for Flex Scheduling any teacher that has multiple sections will have to press the submit button multiple times.
We were wondering if this could be consolidated into 1 button

District ATT Letters - Limit Contacts
Currently, Dist ATT Letters get sent digitally to STU.PEM, CON.EM if Portal Access = Y, and if duplicate mail tag = A. We no longer update STU.PEM. We see the need to only send emails to CON records who are either tagged as primary contacts or ed rights holders, or rellationship type = parent 1 or parent 2. That way other emergency contacts that have portal access also do not get sent the email.

Teacher Attendance - Highlight the Attendance row when selected
In Aeries Gradebook, when you click on a student's name, or hover over the entire row of that student is highlighted/made darker.
Is there any way that that could happen in Attendance? When you hover on a student of when you click on an "Absent", and "N", or even "D", there is no change in the color of that student's row.
I know that for me, it is easier to keep the marks for a particular student specifically for that student if his/her row is highlighted.7 votes -
